Sexual Practices--Mosaic Law and JWs
by blondie inthere was a thread by almostatheist illustrating how the wts could interfere in the sex lives of jws.
this is a topic from the 6/1/2006 wt questions from readers:
in the mosaic law, why were certain natural sexual functions viewed as making a person "unclean"?

Do you think that the JW's really care if they bring people to the Org.
by JH ini think that as long as they think they are saved, they really don't care if people listen to them.

WT desparate: Aug 15 WT- In Our Next Issue: When A Loved One Leaves Jehovah
by truthseeker inno, i don't have this article yet, it will appear in the sep 1, 2006 wt.
it may even be a wt study article.. in the august 15 watchtower, the box "in our next issue" has three forthcoming articles, and one of them is "when a loved one leaves jehovah".
of interest, it's not when a loved one leaves the society, it's jehovah.. will keep you posted.

I have a feeling my JW Mom will read this if she has not already done so and it will contribute significantly to her continuing belief that she failed as a parent since none of her kids are active JWs now.
Jeff S.
Turning RCC was probably the worst thing you could possibly do to your mother. They are almost worse than the JW's.

I cant believe the hypocrisy of the borg. Its no wonder the relatives can continue to shun us when they get this drivel rammed down their throats over and over again.

Salvation, Luther, and the Watchtower
by AliveinChrist inno man with simply a bible and faith in christ would be allowed salvation apart from the catholic organization.
positions that the wt religion teaches on the idea concerning the issue the witnesses having to identify themselves as being a member of the watchtower organization for their salvation one the one hand, it is taught that were one to impute salvation toward `an organization' one would be engaging in a `modern version of idolatry.
note the following quote from the wt which echoes the catholic creed.

What if I don't have the heavenly hope, what else is there for me but certain death at the end of my life?
Yep, dat be bout it I reckon. This earth was created or came about (depending on your bend of reasoning) with everyone, that be every man, woman, child, animal, etc, dieing at some point in time. I think its inevitable. The whole ecosystem just works that way. I tried talking/praying to an unseen being for many years, never got one answer or hello back, so I concluded there was noone there listening. If there was someone listening, he didnt care enough to let me know in some way that he was. I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact that "this life is all there is", so try to make the best of it.

Sorry, another 607 question? I'm confused.
by lost_light06 inim trying to figure something out concerning the wts 607-1914 chronology that has me confused.
i thought they based the chronology on when jerusalem was destroyed.
however, the following is taken from the daniel book and it seems to base it on something else.
