  Introducing: my daughter!!!!!!

  dear all,.

  my daughter (let's call her abbadette) is visting me in the netherlands for the frist time this week.

  she's nearly 16 and lives with her mum who is largely inactive but still culticly influenced.. my darling abbadette has kind of figured out that it is a load of (passes keyboard to daughter) utter and complete shite.. (regains use of keyboard) where ever did she learn langauage like that?

  to those that remember me i came here to tell you something.what i want to tell you is that you guys were right.

  i have been researching the wt since i briefly posted on this board and i have come to the conclusion that the wt is nothing but a man made organization.

  i have been researching the wt non stop since december.

  I'm so happy to hear the posts here helped you. I like to imagine that mine made some small impact.

  I understand your feelings of shame over having shunned your brother. I shunned my father for six years while I was busy being an all-star Witness. Now, when I think about how I would have felt if I had waited until he was much older, or even (God forbid) dead, to come to my senses regarding this religion....well, I feel like I dodged a terrible, terrible bullet for both of us there.

  At any rate, let me tell you, you're in for an amazing adventure. Life outside the organization is so much bigger and more amazing than anything inside it. There's so much to learn and so many ways to grow. The road ahead will be challenging at times, but living life in the real world is worth it.

  but i havent seen anything talking about the newest book released by the society is there a creator who cares about you?

  I just wanted to say hello. I haven't posted on this board or PM'd you in some time, but I do stop in from time to time, and I follow your posts. I don't know if I have any words of wisdom for you right now, except to respond to one thing you said in your last post:

  Sometimes I look at all the other single men in the cong. and thoughts come into my head about how they would be good to her and she could respect them as "spiritual" men... but I know it's probably not good to think like that.

  Dude, you're ten times the man anyone in the hall is, because you've had the courage to be honest with yourself. And what's more, you're trying to support your wife in the truest sense. Your support for her is not conditional on her happening to believe in some particular fairy tale. I mean, how crazy is that? Really! Once she begins to understand that you will support her for her, not for some external thing she professes, she may begin to understand that she has a freedom she did not see before. That kind of love and support is more than she could ever dream of getting from someone at the hall.

  i was reading e-watchman today and someone there is saying that after studying the what does the bible really teach book at bookstudies the next book will be the revelation book!!!.

  there isn't any real proof, but the poster claimed a letter from bethel stated this.

  perhaps some here can dig around and confirm or deny this new rumor.. we've studied it 3 times in the past and it's been awhile.

  Sweet. I can just imagine the absurdity of sitting around in living rooms in 2007, actually trying to convince yourself that trumpet blasts written in Revelation correspond to rinky-dink assemblies 80 years ago.

  This is cool. This should help at least some of my friends see the lunacy.

  since my mom decided she needed to put full shunning back into effect again (an unconscious new year's resolution to be a better jw?

  ), i've been ransacked by a whole bunch of emotions which have been gradually resolving into thoughts.

  a family in my congregation, who has recently fallen on some hard times, just had some hard times fall on them.

  last saturday, a very large tree fell right square on their house.

  no one was harmed, but it definitely hurt their wallets.
