thanks, I just put an update to say I can't take cards. There doesn't appear to be a PayPal logo for PayPAl without cards which is a bit annoying!!!

Once a cheater always a cheater?

he claims it is the only time he has ever cheated and he never thought he would ever cheat nor would he ever do it again.
some of my friends are upset at me saying i should have left him immeditately.

My JW wife cheated numerous times, and most of the other women I have been with have cheated, so I try not to be cynical. But when someone says it's part of a larger problem, all I can think is, yeah part of being a woman.
I know it's sad but I have now avoided women for 6 years so far. Sad, but true.

How do you help someone who is depressed?

There is no simple answer because there are so many states of mind a person can be in, the word depressed doesn't really cover it all. As someone said, listening is good.
But there is a very good point in the book "Mankind's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl, where he gives an example of explaining to someone suffering from grief how their lost loved one would have wanted them to go on through life, and it changed everything for them. I have lent the book to someone so I can't post the exact words, although I would like to.
My point is, you can help someone by reasoning with them, even though depression can sometimes seem illogical.
I know someone who suffers from obsesive compulsive disorder, and when their were riots, she was scared, depressed and wanted to kill herself.
So my logic said to her, "What is the worst thing that could possibly happen to you because of these riots which have become the focus of your mind?" And she thought about it and said, "I suppose I could die."
And then she realised that trying to kill herself because of her worst possible fears was illogical.
Of course, you should always advise people to consult a doctor also ... my disclaimer.

I'm just watching "Naked Gun" which I presume is an American film. And I find the humour in it very British. Very funny indeed. The portrail of the Queen is a bit poor, and there is too much baseball for us Brits (Baseball isn't a sport at all over here), but the humour is most excellent.

before sending any stock replies like, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," let me just say that i acknowledge some degree of relative beauty insofar as man and woman bear their own distinctive perfections.
but consider specifically which sex seems to bear more inherent grace to the end that it inspires our sense of harmony and desire to be more perfect ourselves.

Well we had a local needs talk to try to stop the local young sisters sun bathing semi-nude on our beach. And he put it quite well. He said, "God has made the female body the most desirable thing to a man".
The bit I disagreed with was that you can put all that temptation you want in front of my eyes!!!
