I just saw on TV that a 3 bedroom detached property with swimming pool in Florida costs the exact same as my 2 bedroom apartment on the coast in England. I was totally suprised by this. As there are quite a few American posters here, I am curious as to housing costs in other areas. Does anyone have any other examples of property costs? Does the cost vary much within the same state? Are there hidden taxes to owning a home in the US? Do people tend to take out 20 - 25 year mortgages as they do here with such low prices?

I can tell you why Britain does not like US autos even without the pic, we have pollution controls over here and are taxed higher the more fuel the car uses AND bigger the engine.

No - I was extremely shy and innocent, and when finally dated a JW girl I married her. This was many years ago, and I am more older and wiser now, and although I still don't like to admit it, I grew up only when I was shocked by my wifes prolific adultery which she carried on. It's called the loss of innocence and sometimes I wish I could get it back.

No, because the JW indoctination left me extremely innocent and I used to run from women before it even got to that stage.
