I agree with you whole heartedly on that statement. I don't think anything, not even death, would be as horrible as living an empty, meaningless life.

I just read your post. I think human beings are naturally afraid of death. Nobody really wants to die. It's in our instinct.

I would have to agree that I dread the thought of loosing somebody I love, yoyomama.
I guess I still prescribe to the JW beleif that when you die, you cease to be. Just like sleeping, so I'm not that afraid of being dead. I guess I'm more afraid of the process.

YoYo:
It depends on the situation. If I were ill and slowly, painfully dying, it would be a blessing. If it were horrific, such as being murdered, attacked by a wild animal, etc. I'd be frightened. Why do you ask?

I hate to admit it, but I think I'm gonna have to side with Fred Hall on this one. Sure, Jehovah's Witnesses are an extreme fundamentalist religion. However, if you don't like them, don't join them. If you are a former JW, work on making new friends, etc. Don't burn the hall down!!! These people are definitely over the edge.

BBoy:
Believe it or not, I actually had a cat that could open doors. He was an outside cat and always wanted to be in the house. He would get between the screen door and the wooden door and climb between the two of them until he was standing on the door knobs. That way he could peer through the window on the wooden door and look at us with a pathetic look on his face, meowing to come in. Unfortunately, our door didn't latch very well, and if we didn't open the door, he would wiggle the round door know until the door opened. God's honest truth. I think he was Hudini reincarnated.
We also had another cat that was afraid of mice. We found this out one day when we stuck him in the garage to catch a few. After a little while we heard strange scratching at the garage door. When we opened it, the cat was hanging from almost the top of the door frame so that he could get away from them.
