Belief in Astrology

astrology is in my opinion is illogical and has no scientific basis.

is there any here who could convince me otherwise?.

I'm a sceptic - I did look into it properly once noting time and place of birth etc and getting a full profile done. It was a bit too accurate for my liking so promptly walked away from it fearing being led by such voodoo.
I'm sure there is a scientific answer for it all however.

Peddling Literature Outside the King-dumb Hell

yesterday, i walked up to the barber shop for a haircut.

that walk takes me by the local hall.

in front of the entrance were two attractive young ladies sitting behind a table loaded with watchtower propoganda.

If the JWs are serious about witnessing they should be embracing all these opportunities and more. Instead of the door-to-door not at home work they should:
Open shops in Town/City centres - Markets - Anywhere where the people actually are.
Organize coffee mornings at independent venues (Some people just need a non-direct route)
Open up their kingdom Halls during the day to passing traffic and callers having someone on hand with a friendly face, a cup of tea and a biscuit!
Advertise in Newspapers and Magazines.
And generally be proactive in their God given task of saving the World from death and destruction.
Put a real Sales Manager in charge and this thing could go global - we would have the End-of-the-World in no time.

Of all the places I have been (Never travelled outside Europe apart from the Canary Islands) Turkey has been the most interesting so far.

i remember as a child, before i knew what a "loom" was, i thought it must have been a groin, and therefore the fruit of the loom was dangly bits.

after all, that's what fruit of the looms protects, right?

Some people just have to react, it depends on your personality type and/or your experiences in the organization. The people who bother to sign up and write things on this board will generally have bad things to say because because they are driven by various negative memories, experiences and emotions caused by the JWs. There are many, many more Ex-JWs who just let it go or can't be bothered - you won't find them here.

I have taken this test a couple of time and come up INTJ - like a few others on here. This type only represents 1% of the population but a disproportionate showing on here to me signifies that they are more prone to leaving the JWs. I think the reason for this is that they are able to see the whole picturel. They also follow a perfectionist approach regarding rules so are likely to have a hard time living up to JW ideals and demands, which was certainly true in my case.
