“Peppermint, are you coming to the Aposta Curry!”
Not really thought about it, but maybe I should come and show you how nice and friendly us southerners can be. Last time I was in Manchester was for Luton Town v Manchester City (with the David Pleat Jig at the end) now that’s a long time ago.

“That's what I'm saying! All the guide book writers (likely written by southerners) have never been past Watford Gap!! Foreigners need to get the true picture and find out why it is that Londoners hide the truth about Manchester and other illustrious northern parts - they're far superior!”
Sorry Dansk but I have to disagree here, tourists will seek out and find the best parts of any country, if Manchester had a worthy culture and environment for tourism it would have been exploited. As for other worthy northern cities being hidden by a southern conspiracy, what about York a fantastic place and full of Americans on day trips from London last time I visited. Lets just face it, you have a anti-London bias which is common to people in your part of the world and born from jealousy. -

“hmmm...not sure that her mum is the only one who would have asked her to find a place of her own”
I disagree, I thought she was a really nice person and did herself proud amongst all those backstabbers in there. -

I used one at work for a while. It was quite liberating at times but after a while got on my nerves. For my personal use I have a Samsung X20 which is excellent, combined with my PDA (much better option IMO)

All hail Sven Goran Eriksson!
by nicolaou innot everyone was happy with a swede at the helm of england's football team.. for followers of english football, defeat is a way of life.
but however hard losing may be, the idea that a foreign coach could turn around england's fortunes was even more depressing.. at least that's how some sports commentators reacted to the appointment of sven goran eriksson to the country's top sporting job.
humiliation enough that a foreign coach has been drafted in to save football's mother country, but that he should be swedish would appear to be a step too far for some.

“Yeah, Soccer is such a great sport. Sure it is. This USA-Italy game is a joke. I guess the world has to stick it to the USA whenever they feel threatened. Some game. What a disgusting pile of steaming manure!”
To be honest I thought the USA came out of this quite well and would have most neutrals on their side. -

The faithlessness here
by grissom6471 init is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.
what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.
and a great amount of stupidity.

Its not that we have a complete lack of faith in anything we just have different beliefs to the ones we formally had. Unlike JW‘s we no longer automatically agree with one another, hence you are going to find a lack of unity on this board which you may interpret as complaining or stupidity.
The question you should be asking is: why do we no longer believe?
