  the real reason why jehovahs witnesses refuse blood transfusions

  jehovahs witnesses say that their refusal to accept blood transfusions is based on what the bible says about blood.

  they refer to acts 15:20 where it says, "abstain from blood," and reason that transfusing blood is not abstaining from blood.. but what the bible says about blood is not the real reason why they refuse blood transfusions.

  The Mormon's "8th Article of Faith."

  as the watchtower society has its use of proverbs 4:18 to explain away things that suggest that the society is not what jehovah's witnesses believe it is, the lds church has its use of their "8th article of faith" to explain away things that suggest that it is not what mormons think it is.. that article goes like this: "we believe the bible is the word of god as far as it is translated correctly.".

  there is nothing wrong with such a statement.

  another example: the church teaches that jesus is the god of abraham.

  " and that it doesn't mention matthew 24:45-47. .

  in the past several months i have received numerous requests for my help in getting money out of bank accounts in africa (usually).

  many of them explain that all i have to do is pretend to be the next of kin and they will deposit millions of dollars in my bank account and will then be able to keep from15% to 40% of that money.

  the amount of money is always in the millions of dollars.

  there are as many different ways of writing a book about jehovah's witnesses and their watchtower society as there are those who write them.

  captives of a concept is just one of those different ways.

  it is not the greatest book that has ever bewn written about jehovah's witnesses or their watchtower society.
