Hi everyone!
I live in a New England style house (salt box) with wood siding. I have a great room with 3 skylights 4x4 and a balcony over looking the livingroom. What kind of house do you guys live in?

Strawberryfields is a great place to get lost. And thats how I feel, like getting lost.
this has been a very hard month for me.. 18th anniversary of my brother's death;.
meeting (after a 15-year hiatus) a long-time jw friend, in dire straights, and lots of deep-seated triggers being pulled in the course our conversation;.
my closest, and longest (30-year and running) "worldly" .
Craig,
Why does it seem that so many sad things happen at once? I'm feeling for you. If I could, I would give you a big hug!
Hi Joysome!
What kind a of work do you do? I just got back from my morning jog and the weather is nice and warm. About 40 degrees! Thats really nice for Minnesota! Hope you have a really nice day! Time to hit the shower.

well, sitting having lunch at work, and i notice these three kinda different guys.
no swearing, no cursing (i work in a saw mill), and just clean-cut and nice looking.. you guessed it, jobie nitwits.
the one 20 year old younger guy called the one guy brother xxxx.
I see them all the time on the school bus route. They're out in service (usually in a van) and all dressed up. I just look the other way. YUCK!!!
.
would you have gone to college, gotten a great job, become a businessman, politician, priest,........what??
?
I would have married the man I really loved. He was in the army and my Mom put a stop to that........ And I would have gone to college to become a teacher. I always wanted to be a mother hen to elementary students. How I wish things were different...
Chocolate is my best friend
hi dansk.
i have read your commet on the subject "shame on you".. what you have seem to forgot is your family????
yes if you was not like a "bull in a china shop" you would have stopped and looked at the situation to ensure your daughter were not left behind in the w/t.. but what did you do?
If I had waited to leave when I had all my family with me, I would have died in the JW religion. I would have been unhappy with no life and no future. I would have let myself down and my children who love me, not to mention my Dad (who is not JW). I would have watched my life go by trying to get the family left in there. They would have only looked on me as a poor, poor spiritually weak person in the congregation who will never progress, because they would sense how unhappy I was. Would that do any good???? If they care to join me in the free world, I will welcome them with open arms. I will never regret leaving them behind. You only live once and it's up to you to make yourself happy, even if it means leaving behind your family in that cult....

how many of you went out in the field because you had to or because you wanted to?
if because you had to, how did you feel while doing it?
just curious.
I hated going out in service. After I'd knock on the door, I'd hope that nobody would answer. I even left right away, so they wouldn't get the chance to come. I hated trying to answer questions that I was never prepared to answer. I hated weekends because you were expected to go out with the groups. I always wished I could stay home and work around the house or garden without the guilt trip. If you didn't show up, someone would always ask "where were you yesterday, we all had such a wonderful time"!
where do you feel most 'at home' within yourself?
do you have a special affinity with a particular place?
if i feel stressed or low i always head for the beach.i've got a very special beach near me thats empty.
MONTANA!!!
My Dad lives in the mountains and it's about 3 miles up. The view is unbelievable!!! I feel soooo at home there... The mountains are calling me!!!
