  Funeral today

  well i have decided to attend a funeral this afternoon at the kingdom hall.an elder whom i feel was a very nice man passed away .. his wife has always been welcomming to me at the hall.

  and doesnt do the ,i dont see you thing, if and when we run into each other in public.

  she actually smiles and nods to me.. it will be interesting as my daughter and son in law and grandaughter (whom i dont see unless by accident) will be attending too.. it has been a hard choice as weather to go or not.

  I did respect this gentlemen and also I want to show that by attending, But also I just want to show up and remind them all that Im still here and kicking and doing fine, in fact that Im doing even better.

  Will drive my new , used car, a bmw and dress up nice. Am I wrong? should I take the beater car? Maybe just not show up?

  my son is in a school for smart kids.

  they call it "challenge".

  he is in 2nd grade, just turned 8 last month.

  You have gotten alot of great feedback here. Having had kids at both extremes in the learning curve. I would agree that kids in an advanced program need to be challenged about more seeming tiny or insignifigant things to keep those minds growing. And if they never get anything wrong they seem not to do as well in the sceme of life, We all must accept and learn from our mistakes even if it seems they are sometimes not a big deal to us.

  Does extreme hardship tend to bring out the best in people?

  i have been going through what can only be described as some extreme hardship lately.

  some of my posts lately explain it.

  my friends are surprised that i am dealing with it as well as i have been because, quite frankly i have never been considered to be a very patient person.

  I feel that people who have been thru alot,do learn to appreciate what they have more.And they are often more understanding,people.

  I believe this is because they realize that when going thru tough stuff we can become short tempered , depressed, negative and just not nice to be around.

  Going thru tough times is a catalyst for great personal growth if you allow it to.

  i've made a bid for some goods and i'm waiting to see if i've "won".. any advice for a newbie ebay-er?.

  I do alot of business on ebay..Its like the worlds biggest garage sale.

  I find things on ebay that I have looked for and cannot find other places

  and often even items I could buy locally are more reasonable on ebay.

  OOps sorry hit the warong button... as i was trying to say my eldest daughter told me if i showed up I would be escorted out! I was very angry and hurt it was a tough day I spent it at the movies and watched 3 movies in a row untill the day was gone. I think they will regret it someday.

  Hold you head up high and know without you she wouldnt be here. You will always be her dad no matter what!

  hi people.

  i finially got myself moved to the seattle side of the mountains.. i'm living in shoreline, just south of 175th st.. i'm still unpacking, and don't have regular internet access.

  i am so glad to be out of eastern washington.. now i'm just trying to figure out where everything is..

  i cant bring myself to get into voting.

  i am registered, but when its time to vote, i just really never fell the urge to get there and get it done.

  my husband is very political, and is always talking politics and about the importance of voting.
