mr. miagi (spelling) nicknamed his student daniel, "danielson" (spelling) in the hit movie karate kid.. kuai chang cain (spelling) was the name of the character in the hit series, kung fu, and his nickname was grasshopper.. as a student of martial arts, i choose to go by the nickname cockroach, or cucuracha (spanish translation).. i choose this name because it reminds me of a song i learned while i was growing up in the san luis valley.

What does it mean anyway? A gathering in the name of Christ? Where is it written that one should observe this?

No one is worthy of carrying the name of Christ, whom His Father in heaven has appointed as ruler of all nations in the "Kingdom of God". Christ will soon shepherd all the nations with an iron rod, and carry on war in righteousness.

It is written; those that choose to live by the sword, will die by it. A wise man will know when to put down his sword. But the foolish man will continue to be foolish, and choose not to repent. A heartfelt repentance is required to preserve a man alive........ so therefore repent, and be baptised, while there is still time to do so.

Jehovah, the God of Abraham, and of all those upon the earth wants none to perish. But instead, wants all to join together in Christ in true peace and happiness.....................this peace will last forever and ever.

in light of this, how can some still spout the mantra that this is a religion of peace and that it's only the "radical fringe" that are causing problems?

well, it's been one year since i first came to this lovely board, and i have to say, it's been a lot of good times.

thanks to everyone for keeping the homefires lit.. it was also encouraging to see so many new ones.

i'm happy to report that for the 2004 jwd service year (ends dec 14), we had spectacular growth.
