i thought you folk in the states might like to know how things stand this side of the pond.. sky news interactive showed that 90% of those polled thought that the uk should join with the us military in attacks on countries harbouring terrorists.. the the entrance to the us embassy in london is stacked high with flowers and tributes, the fdr statue in particular has also been similarly honoured.. flags all around the country are at half-mast.. the queen ordered that the daily changing of the guard ceremony at buckingham palace should feature the usa national anthem, this has never happened before at such a nationalistic event.. the famous last night of the proms at the albert hall and hyde park has been restructured to honour the american dead.. it is know that several hundred brits were in the trade centre at the time of the attack.. i just wanted you people to know that your country is by no means on its own in this crisis.

I was able to view the guard playing the Star Spangled Banner on our local PBS station here. What a loving gesture.

i woke up this morning as you all did to this chaos that has enveloped our country, for those of you outside our country i am sure you were just as shocked.
nothing as devistating has happened during my lifetime.
although for some of you in countrys where terriosm is an everyday occurence i now can see the horror and heartache you must deal with on a daily basis.
I'm thinking that it's probably muslim extremist. Possibly foreign or national. Maybe even both. The reason I believe this is because it was obviously a suicide mission and muslim extremists find it an honor to die in the "jihad" against us American infidels.
The planning and coordination that it took to be able to bypass security at three airports and two different airlines had to be years in the making. If not, I shudder at how easy it must have been for them to get their weapons through security. It seems though, whenever we plug up one hole in the dyke, the bads guys find another one to exploit.

a few of you that i exchange emails with already know that my leukemia came out of remission recently.

I'm sorry to read of the reoccurence of your Leukemia. It's a tough blow. I know, I am a Mama to a kid that whose leukemia is in remission nearly 9 years now. Even after all those years, that fear of a reoccurrence looms quietly in the back of my mind. You "sound" like you have a positive attitude for the treatment road ahead.
So glad that your sister is willing to be a marrow donor if necessary. It's ironic that living at Bethel she was able to see the error of the WTS blood policy. I am also hoping that you won't need her marrow, but knowing you have her in your corner must be a huge boost!

More than half of those experiences have need negative ones. I sometimes wish that I could go back and change decisions that I made. But in all honesty, I really like who I am today. I know that all of the negative things in life that I have gone through have made me who I am today. These learning experiences have made me a little wiser than I believe I would be, had I not endured them.

I am touched by the your honesty and enthusiastic embrace of life. Especially, when it comes to birthdays and holidays.
I have been celebrating those for years. However, because of being denied enjoying them as a kid, since my own children were born I really go into high gear during the holidays. A huge tree, festive decorations inside my house, and my yard lit up like the Las Vegas strip!
To experience the happiness these times bring my kids is very healing to me.
