  could anybody scan the above series of articles from the december 2004 awake.. i have decided to write to our previous best friends using this article as its basis.

  unfortunately i cannot find my copy as i still get the magazines from time to time from my father.. yesterday our best friend shunned my wife in the street and ran awy when she swa her.

  we were friends for 30 years and until we left two years ago we used to go no holiday with them.. they never asked usked us why we dont go, and as we have not be disfellowshipped or disaccoiated ourselves i think their action is pathetic.

  Hey this is unbeleivable i started the Pink floyd thing the other day when somebody said about thinking Armageddon was coming and it was a knebworth concert.

  Then somebody said it was a post waters Floyd

  I am an absolute Floyd Fan. Waters is/was Floyd. If you look at momentary lapse it took 14 people to write it

  I saw the original Wall concerts twice in 1980 and 1981 at Earls Court. Didnt tell many Witnesses!

  Saw Roger do Radio Kaos tour in 1988, and saw Roger do solo tour twice in 2002. He was ace.

  i remember coming home from a meeting one evening in a spiritually heightened mood and seeing all these lights dancing around in the sky.

  strangest thing i ever saw.

  The new scripure is

  Revelation 26 v 2. You will hear rumours of Pink Floyd reforming,but the end is not yet. Then there will be a reform tour announced and then the end will come! (Day before it starts, haha)

  i dont think i knew as much as an elder with all the pre-study and preparation for all my items.. how do you put together all the references.

  Thanks for replies. I agree we have to move more than just congregations. However you cannot deny or forget your past. I was 42 years a Witness you cannot pretend that never happened. it was your life nad you have to accept you will always be an ex Witness

  How did 1975 affect you?

  i lived thru the 1975 fiasco.

  many here did too.. on another board there was discussion about the way the congregations were before 1975. some thought that they were like small country churches in some ways.

  we did our own work on repairs at the kingdom hall, like a family.

  I was only 16 in 1975 and i always thought it would come in 1976

  The generation doctrine was the change that affected me most. I think this is the change that has had the most effect on the movement. 5 million people built their lives around that certain "end time " doctrine then they moved the goalposts with no end to it at all.

  People are lost because of that

  The sad thing is in 5 years time it will be 15 years since thay changed it and anybody aged about 20 will know nothing about how certain this doctrine was. Then they will say the society never really said that it was the brothers fault!.

  Honestly you always put a true reflection to any subject. being a past elder it is good to see somebody with so much knowledge have come to all the same conclusions as I have
