Wow this is spooky I am almost a Floyd fanatic come on the JW site and your talking Floyd.
Amazingly I have been reading a new fantastic 300 page book tonight which I ordered from America about the Wall called Comfortably Numb
My favourite is Roger Waters who after all wrote nearly all of it and I saw him in Hyde Park London in July and I saw David Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall in May. Both were fantastic but Roger was out of this world. I also saw the original Wall shows in 1980
Anyway RIP Syd.
Will he get a resurecction!!!!
when i was brought up in the 60s and 70s a creative day was definately 7000 years as mentioned on another thread and then it became vague as thousands of years like mentioned in an earlier thread.
well the bright light really is getting brighter all the time.
whereas they used to know exactly how long a creative day was they now have not got a clue .

NEW AWAKE SEPTEMBER 2006
PAGE 19 "How long then were the creative days? The wording of Genesis chapters 1 and 2 indicates that considerable lengths of time were involved."
Well thats makes it much clearer then could be millions of years like scientists have always said!!!!
i have always wondered how seriously they took this dispensing doctrine thing.
do they all get together and actually pray or just have meetings?
ex- bethelites say they wrote doctrinal articles for the watchtower or awake.
Yes well said Blondie
But they still teach the number was sealed in 1935 and they are replacements. There must be a lot of 80-90 year olds falling away
Mike
bible writers must be rolling in their graves if they saw how their writings were taken apart and mangled by the "spirit directed organization".
the watchtower prides itself in getting ones 'tasteful spiritual food, nutritional", even!
what stupid understandings have the witnesses believed in over the years that show you they certainly do not have the "truth"?
Which book is the Appolo quote from. KJ is which book I honestly dont remember that.
the age of 40?.
seems like a lot have left after 1/2 or 2/3 of a lifetime.
what accounts for that in your mind, if you left in later middle years or older?.
Hi everyone I left after 42 years from birth and my wife left aged 41 a year before me. She had sussed it out herself that it was wrong i had to do all the research. Wish I had done the research when I was a teenager

Hi Everyone
.
we all remember where we were and what we were thinking during highly significant events....(e.g.
9-11, jfk, etc)..... if you can recall, what were the first thoughts racing through your mind as you sat at the 1995 d.c. at the infamous 1914 generation change announcement, was it "the final nail in the coffin of your wts beliefs or did you engage in mental gymnastics to try to assimilate the "fresh meat in due season" lol....... i was in such shock at this announcement, i think my mind just blanked out for 10 minutes followed by: "ok, this really is it for me......they have duped us all along", i then immediately started thinking of my 90 year old jw grandmother sitting in the stadium, and what must have been going through her mind......
Hang on im from England and I did not think it was changed at the district assembly. It was changed in the Watchtower articles in September 1995.
I was an elder here and that was when the new light (dark) was broght out and I understood the significance immediately.
