Yeah way to often. I prayed to Jehovah to be able to know the future during times when I would need it, and he gave me the ablity to do just that, but I never know when its coming it just comes concerning me or those I love. Sometimes its a curse.

i am still hunting for spiritual truth in some form, heavens sake i am even considering checking out the mormons (morons).
anyone have a suggestion for a religion to pacify my natural human longing for acceptance (and or) this or that, you know what i mean?

No I don't really want to join, I live a small town where there is a Mormon temple and it looks so nice besides they have nice lights at Chritsmas.

Was Johnny Carson pro JW?
by HappyDad indoes anyone remember one of his shows from the late 1970's when john denver was on the show?
i never saw the show but heard about it in the jw circle (urban legend??).
it was known that john denver hated jw's and during their bantering, carson asked denver about his asking jw's to leave during his concerts.

Yeah it seen and loved it, he did kick his hiney off the show.
I remeber he asked Denver if its true that he asks his patrons if any of them are Witness's, then the ones who say yes he tells them to leave, Denver said yes its true, so Carson said well I want you to leave my stage now." What a Putz Denver was, I am glad he is dead.

Spirit Directed... what exactly does that mean?
by Elsewhere inthe wts is always saying that it is "spirit directed".. what exactly does that mean?
does any of the literature ever actually define "spirit directed"?.
in the past the literature said that angels came down and told russel and ruthorford what "truth" was... then when their "truth" started to fail, the wts started using the phrase "spirit directed".. is this just a way of saying "god controls us, but we are not accountable for any errors made"?.

Not Too Bad A Cult.... In Comparison To Others. Let's Talk About Cults.
by Doubtfully Yours ini saw an episode of a day talk show the other day in which they interviewed these two women that were part of a polygamous cult in utah.
the cult was referred to as 'the order'.. men married many young wives, and these were expected/forced to breed in large numbers.
these women worked for the cult.

The reason why most everyone on the forum will not show their faces is that they are afraid of the big GB and the lurking elders that have you hiding under your beds, I used to be that way till I turned on the lights and seen they were only shapes of my old clothes on the floor and shadows of nothing.

My Mormon buddy
by AloneinOh ini felt compelled to post this to kind of stick up for my buddy a little bit.
i'm not sticking up for mormons....only sticking up for a friend that happens to be a mormon.
some may say he is secretly trying to convert me, but he really is, just a friend that happens to be a mormon.. i am in no way endorsing mormons or have any desire to be one.

I like the Mormons, they never realy did nothing to bother me, for the most part they are fair with most everone.
When I was hurt real bad from a head trauma it was the Mormons that paid for my month to month needs not the Jehovah's Witness's and I was in good standing with the witness's at the time, the fact is I may seriously check out the Mormons simply because they showed compassion to me.. What the hell, the book of Mormon is about as plausable as anything else. Shane
