Acsot, believe it not, I was thinking about you the other day and I was wondering when you would give us a call and give us a visit.
The question about Native beliefs. Yes, we stay close to mother nature and we hold many things sacred. My mom and grandmother always reminded us to be respectful. I'm sorry to say that the younger generation's compass needs adjusting. All in all is pretty good.
I agree with you about not being close to witnesses in the cong., another poster made the same comment. I find this weird since we're suppose to be a close family.
I'm glad to hear that your involve in other activities, we need to set goals a purpose for our daily living, it beats existing.
Yes, give us a call and I asked JH to do the same thing when he's in the neighborhood.
Thanks and take good care of yourself.

whyamihere, good for you. It makes me proud to hear such stories. Its an example to others that it can be accomplished. Thank you.
Jules99, age doesn't make a difference as you know. It doesn't bother me when older men go with younger women. In fact, it doesn't bother me when older women go with younger men, to each their own. Life is what we make it. The essence of life 'is' living. There is so much to enjoy we just gotta reach out, do it!
Thanks for replying.

The_Classicist, how interesting, did I steal it from you? Nah, can't beat experience. I have NO complaints about attending the school of hard knocks. Thanks for replying.
ExJWelder, yes, 'living' is fun. When we put things in perspective life has a lot to offer and to be enjoyed. The org. is like a blood sucker, they drain everything out you and what's left for you? No self-esteem, no pride, no personal honor, no emotions, no mind to think for yourself, no will or purpose to live except for them, we just exist. How many other 'no's' can you add?
Thanks.

Fairchild how interesting you would say that you were a juggler and magician. For someone who did a juggling act you know the importance of 'balance.'
I'm sorry to hear that something in 1994 change your life. I've had many bad experiences in life but I've managed to get up, wipe the dirt off and start over again.
I hope someday you'll get to live again. Thanks for your remarks.
Aude_Sapere, like I said in the begining, I learned to extract the good out of bad situations. There's always a lesson to be learned. Like you said, you need to "...pay attention and recognize opportunites for living." Sometimes its right in front of our noses but we can't see it. Wishing you the best.

Yeah mama, the witnesses are just existing. Their out of touch with reality. My eldest sister is one emotional mess, terrible.
I'm glad to hear that you made your way out of a bad situation. Thanks for posting. Good health to all.

My mom spoke out about the elders............!
by Sunnygal41 inthis morning, my mom told me that she told my sister (who's hubby was just recently made an elder) that she felt no human has the right to judge someone..........only god has that right.
i felt like doing cartwheels!!!!!
i was sooo proud of her, even when my sister said that she only felt that way because "terri is disfellowshipped.

Good for you S41. You find by not 'pushing' the situation events slowly turn interesting.

Thanks Jules99, sorry to hear about your loss. My wife and I are getting along in years and I too have to be realistic, what would I do in the event she passes away. Being married for 42 years and knowing each other since childhood it can cause a huge emptiness if something happens to her. Yes, I have my children and grandchildren but its not the same. They have their own lives to contend with.
Amazing how we take things for granted. My wife and I spend time together, we talk and watch movies together like two young love birds. I make sure I notice life around me. I'm in awe with life. There is so much to be in awe about, however, we're distracted by the pleasures of life and personal pursuits. I'm not against such things its just needs to be in 'balance.'
You say, "Now I realize all that career crap's not important." So true, so true.
You summed up your experience by saying, "When I get through this grief I'm going to do what Dan (also my name) always did - concentrate on caring for the people I love and let the rest take care of itself. I just wish I hadn't had to lose him to make me realise he was right."
It took a lot emotional courage to share your story, thank you. Once again, my deepest condolences.
