1. More taxes
2. More rights and freedoms taking away in subtle ways, (i.e.terrorism)
3. More moral decay
4. The middle class thinning out (eventual goal, elimination of the middle
class)
5. Sorry, fuel prices and other commodities will go up
6. UN making plans to force international tax (This has been in the plan years
ago but the populace would not accept it, maybe next year will see the
gradual implemetation of it)
Enough for now.

Greetings WG. I've been a sports player since childhood. I can relate to your son not wanting wearing a helmet. By the way, I grew up in the South End of Boston.
I sustained a serious head injury in school but it wasn't due to playing soccer, baseball, hockey, etc. We were wrestling while I was on the shoulder of another schoolmate. When the bell rang he let me go and I landed next to a rock head first, I was lucky I didn't break my neck. The headaches resulting from this injury remains with me to this day. Death would have been a blessing for me when these headaches surface.
As an athlete all my life, yes, you should wear a head gear. I realize that its' very uncomfortable and I hate to wear a helmet but what do you prefer, headaches for the rest of your life or worse scenarios?

Winning the lottery, would it really change your life?
by JH inimagine that you won a couple of million $, would this have a huge bearing on you or would you just make slight ajustments to your life?.
i'd be the same person, but with more resources, that's all !!!!.
i'd be more "me" and wouldn't change into someone else because i became rich.. how about you?

Like you JH, I'd still be me. I look forward to winning the lottery because I would then be in a position to help the 'needy.'

Is Satan a philosopher?
by DavidChristopher inwhos truth would he be searching for?
seems kind of silly to search after your own "truth".
wouldn't the object be to have others searching for your "truth" is that a form of worship?

MKR, what doe walking on steel beams have to do with anything? A belief system.
Everyone, everyday is confronted with death. In my trade its every minute. I'm also a professional tree remover. Again it's about a belief system.
I gave you an 'A" for answering 'yes' to my question, "Do you always question people's motives?" Is this based on bad experiences, if so, why do you allow it to control you? Our relationship with people is also based a belief system. How can people who do not trust their fellow man have a happy life? Then again, some people are happy being miserable.

Mysterious, my wife and I were watching a segment of yesterday's news and it dealt on 'happiness.' People in the Montreal region were aked, what was more important to them, work or happiness, happiness won out.

Hmmmmmmm, more interesting responses. Cognitive_Dissident gave me something to think about, and that is, do the teachings of the jw's actually make you believe in a God or does it turn you away from believing in a God?
Cognitive said,"The most detrimental affects of being a witness for me was...I in fact had very little or no hope at all in my day to day life." This suggest a void in a belief system resulting in disbelief.
MKR, let me reassue you, its' an innocent question. Do you always question people's motives? Do you trust or have a measure of faith in people? Do you give people the benefit of the doubt? Why do you read into things? The fact that you said, "...but I still say it's not worded like an innocent question" suggests you don't.
Maybe you need to walk with me on steel beams a few floors above street level to get you to believe that my question is innocent. I'll guarantee to you you'll have second thoughts.
