I talk to my Creator frequently. This communicating did not come about because I was a JW. Call it a natural instinct. I'm an accomplished person and I have always given thanks to my Creator. To each his/her own.

5does the ability to pray come naturally??
by lostyettobefound inhey guys as you can see i am still new and still keen to hear other peoples points of view on my issues.
anyway i always wondered because i have friends who are pentecostals who seem to have this amazing ability to pray and they feel like they are talking to god.
i never ever felt like i was communicating with someone when i prayed it always seemed futile and it always seemed like a repetition of someone elses prayer.

Appreciative of the positive side of having been a JW
by exwitless inlately i've come to the conclusion that i cannot change my past 14 wasted years with the borg; i can only learn from my experiences and resolve to improve on my life from here on out.
i no longer have to "wait for jehovah" or the "new system" to make my life better; i can apply my own intellect, power of reasoning, and free will to accomplish what i want to do.. one thing i've come to appreciate is that had i not been a jw, and in turn an ex-jw, i may have never actually questioned the deep philosophical issues that are discussed on this board.
i may be stuck as a "nominal" christian (forgive the wt-speak), being content to half-heartedly believe what i was raised to believe.

im not a hardliner saying im sure jw's are wrong or god dont exists, but i confessed myself that i just dont know and i guess strongly that a menmade organization which behaves and acts like the wts cant be the right.

Before my mom became a witness in the late forties I prayed or rather, talk to my Creator and I still do. I have no regrets. You don't have to be a witness to talk to your maker.

Do you find that JW's talk about the "UN" in a bad way like they use to?
by booker-t ini think that jw's studying the revelation grand climax book again for the 4th time is preparing the jw's for a "new light" to come out.
i feel that maybe they will say that they were wrong about the un being the beast of rev and now they believe that the un is actually being used by jehovah and jesus to help the preaching work to be accomplished.

Independent Thinking

only three times is it ever spoken of as being a good thing.
and those three instances are quite telling about the insidiousness of all of the other times that jw publications consider independent thinking to be such a bad thing.. .
