  Confession of sin and the watchtower

  hi everyone, it has been awhile since i have visited and i just wanted to share a few thoughts with you today on the topic of confession of sin.

  for those who have never attended a church, i will explain the view of 'christendom" on the matter.

  church for most christian denominations is a place of healing and recharging of the spirit.

  Good day LW. My mom was reluctant to have dinner with us last night because of my status, disfellowshipped. Their keeping an eye on her. This wasn't the case a few years ago when she was sick and I took it upon myself to take care of her, did anyone from the congregation offer to take her in? Yeah, no one, not even my elder brother. So, where was this Christian hospitality and caring that they preach about? What ever happen to '...taking care of widows?' The former Catholic priest,Charles Chiniguy, was a very compassionate person and those who criticize his book are missing the point. He believed in Christ and not in man made rules and dogma. He exposed the Church doctrines, especially about confessional and the Jesuits as being militaristic. Chapter LV provides plenty of interesting information. It's understandable that he would be attacked as he was a free thinker. He reminded me of a number of things that I have experienced when being a witness. One is, don't think, they will think for you! I guess you can relate to that. I've been acquainted with the witnesses since the late forties, so I'm not a newbie.   Kenneson, I agree with you about opposing views. I'm fully aware of the link you present. My question to you is, have you read any of his books? I read his book and the accusations they make against him is incomplete. I'm an outspoken person in my community and I can provide names of people who can freely give negative comments about me. I happen to sit on a committe meeting with my underage daughter and it was embarrassing and a sham. The end result was, the elders never apologized for their unwarranted committee meeting. As a former elder I never expelled anyone. My job was always to help. Yes, some elders are quick on the trigger to expel and hear the details of juicy stories, wrong, wrong, wrong!   since leaving the dubs 5 years ago i have gained a new appreciation for this life.

  since this life is the only one i know for sure that i have i have tried to take every opportunity that comes my way.

  well, for a few years now i have been entertaining the idea of planning my escape from the american rat-race.

  yup i studied again, after eight years and being shunned asfter .

  reinstatement and staying away for eight years with an old brother, he was a good teacher kind and all, but when it came to the subject of the society's view on child abuse and shunning i heard the same old idiotic excrement.

  i thought they have changed in view of all the law litigations.

  My Mother's Being Announced in November As OFF The Pioneer List

  after 40 years of serving as a regular pioneer and being on the infirm list, the circuit overseer, the po and another elder told her today in a 30 min.

  conversation she was going to be announced as no longer pioneering.

  the co mostly talked about me, my wife and daughter.

  "two long-awaited studies have found that the [u.s.] roman catholic church suffered an epidemic of child sexual abuse that involved at least 4 percent of priests over 52 years and peaked with the ordination class of 1970, in which one of every 10 priests was eventually accused of abuse," reports the new york times.

  Ezk, I just finished reading, "Fifty Years In The Church Of Rome" by Charles Chiniguy and I plan to get his other book, "The Priest, The Women and The Confessional." After reading his 'Fifty Years,' he makes Peyton Place look like a kindergarten! I can image what his other book is like. Like Jesus said, "Do as they say, but don't do as they do." Guest 77
