I know were going of the main subject, however, just to let you know, I play professional competitive golf and I'm a professional teacher. I 'teach people to teach themselves.'
I've meet oodles and oodles of interesting people. The scenery and landscape of private golf clubs is something to behold. If you appreciate mother nature, this is it. The beauty of golf is when YOU play for the fun of it.

Min, a little hint, golf reveals one's character. Your missing out on the company, scenery and walk. Do you know how many people I know who said golf sucks and are now playing the game? Oh well, to each his own!

"Brainwashing " thread......Part 2
by logansrun inso, if a friend comes up to us and says, ?you?re an idiot!?
and we feel sad and angered after this incident we are likely to say that our friend made us feel sad and angry.
we made ourselves feel sad and angry.

Brad, do you care to elaborate on your comment, "...we bear some responsibility being JW's..."

How many were religious????????
by vitty ini know you cant know whats in someones head or mind, but in a average congregation of about a 80 to 100 people how many would you say were religious!.
i can say in mine there was about 6 that i would say were genuine people.
the rest i felt believed in the "truth" i did, but they were either scared of armageddon or peer pressureot to save face .

Vitt, I was never the religious type. Spiritual, yes! I've seen too much hypocrisy. My father-in-law was not a Christian, he was a spiritual person. he practiced 'natural' affection, he was an outgoing and a caring person. I was lucky to have a father-in-law like him.
Religious life is an 'unnatural' lifestyle.

Joyz, whomever your favorite singer may be, its the lyrics you have to hear, especially at this time of the year.

Has ANYONE heard this song? Wow, what kind of JW's were you? I got to do lots of things as a witness, but you guys seem like you were in a concentration camp. Are you sure we were in the same religion?

End of the World
by jwcurious in.
i'm new here, i married a jw and i have just started attending the meetings, and it confuses me alot.. but back to my question, my grandmother once told me that jw's in the 50's proclaimed the end of the world and sold all their personal belongings and went up on a mountian and waited for god, has anyone else heard of this?
