Perhaps that speaker has awoken to TTATT and intends to help as many as he can to leave, while he is still considered a good JW and remains above suspicion.

Expanding number of DC/RC's
by DwainBowman inaccording to my elder in law, by next year the number of dc/rc's will increase by 143. the size of conventions will get smaller.
the elder in law says the goal is to make them all have around 2,000 or so at each.
they are going to make more manuals detailing each job and it's responsibilities.

As JWs have a history of using their vacation time to attend DCs, is there any reason a RC couldn't be held at an assembly hall during week days? That could easily expand the number of RCs an assembly hall could accommodate.

With many of the JW's in this area now downloading their study mags and other liter(ature), how much will actually be shipped by truck?
As stated previously, I suspect WT will soon off-load printing to the 'publishers'. Most presentations will be done by electronic tablet and if a publisher wants to leave a hard copy, they'll need to print it themselves on their desktop printers.
Apparently song books have already been made redundant. I understand the song words are now displayed on the large screen TVs in the KHs.

Should I just tell my parents
by BlackWolf inlately i've been feeling just so fed up with this stupid religion i really can't take it anymore!
i'm starting to think that maybe i should just tell my parents how i really feel.
if they treat me too badly or kick me out i could probably stay with my non jw aunt.. ive just reached my breaking point, i don't really care what people think of me anymore.

As soon I save up some money and get a car, I am out of here.
Rethink your priorities as a car will consume plenty of money so that you probably won't have much left for anything else. Leaving is not dependent on a car.

Suggest you start expressing that you want to attend high school - no more home schooling. That will give you a much needed break away from home and will provide opportunity for interaction with others while also permitting you to earn a recognized HS diploma. A HS diploma should assist in the option of further education if you should decide to pursue it (do pursue it).

I had thought the issues were forum upgrade related as my computer's time was/is shown correctly and have always indicated the posting time properly.
Even after doing as you suggested, rechecking the time and clearing browser cache & rebooting the system, the most recent JWC posting time remained incorrect. Although my system's time was correct, only after resetting the time settings manually, resulted in the JWC posting time being shown correctly.
I notice that the Active Topic page continue to show the posting previews with all lower case letters and there are additional periods also inserted at the end of every preview sentence.

I'm getting disfellowshipped
by raven inhi everyone, a bit of an update here on my continuing disaster of a situation.. (refer to my previous posts for the full story) my mom met with me yesterday for dinner, it was nice.. however, she brought up the fact that because i live with my boyfriend and how everything has gone down, i will be disfellowshipped.. i think the elders basically have enough proof of this.. due to the anonymous tipper (still have no clue who it was, i live in another town 100's of miles away from my old congregation territory), and my mom telling them.
i'm not sure when they will announce it, or if they will contact me prior.. at this point i feel so emotionally dead i don't care- on the other hand, i don't want to be disfellowshipped because i do not want to loose a relationship with my mom.
that is the whole reason i tried fading out.. .

I know that JW elders think they are exempt from adhering to people's rights, you are an adult subject to an expectation to privacy.
I suspect your mother made-up the story but if the elder's did divulge that information without an official announcement, they need to be taken to task legally over discussing private and disparaging information with others which includes your mother. They have no cause other than hearsay as they haven't spoken to you on the matter.
In court, they claim clergy privilege over not providing private information to the court even when they discuss private details to other elders, the CO and WT.
The change from announcing to the congregation the specific reason for disfellowshipping, to announcing 'conduct unbecoming a christian' and then changing to 'so-and-so is no longer considered a JW', is not without reason.
Don't be down but become angry and have your say through a lawyer over how your privacy and good name are being trampled-on and disregarded.
Perhaps if you mention to your mother that you plan to take legal action against the elders, she will fess-up that she made-up the story.
