the watchtower bible & track society inc. says they are at times receiving "new light" from jehovah god.
but can it really be called "new" light?.
in 1889 the watchtower bible & track society inc. published:.
If you want a Blood Transfusion and are afraid of being Disassociated/Disfellowshipped just move to Bulgaria. In order to have recognition as a religion the WTBTS signed an agreement with the Bulgarian Government that states they would allow each JW to make his own decisions regarding all medical management with no reprisals from the organisation. However, The WTBTS says their position hasn't changed on blood transfusions. So, either they are lying to the public or they perjured themselves when they signed the legal document with Bulgaria.Where can I find documents on this?
Thanks,
Bryan

It really is so odd, though. The bible says, I believe, that humans could not handle all the "Light" at once. So the light gets brighter and brighter. Or, "New Light" is delivered.
The thing is, when "New Light" makes the old light false, it makes no sense. It would have to mean the last, "New Light" was a false light.
For God to say to the 12 in New York, 'The end will be here in 1914', then he says to them again later, 'Wait... let's make it 1915', then again, 'No... actually the end will be about 80 years after 1914. That last date was all wrong'.
This is not giving a little light at a time so we can handle it. This is changing dates because the last one didn't work.
If the message was that the end would come in the next 100 years, then 30 years later the word is the end is coming in the next 3 decades, then again we have new light that says in the next 15 years Armageddon will be here... That is "New Light". That I could understand.
It is just so blatently obvious that they are just changing beliefs and covering for the bad Old Light, which never came true, ie. False Prophesy!

Very true IP.
As well, the "New Light" doen't really follow a correct course.
To say Christ came in the late 1800's, then to later say he came in 1914 is to admit that the first light was wrong.
Now, if the WBTS were to come out and say, Jehovah says we must all move to Montana to our new commune to wait out Armageddon, then that is "New Light". They did not, 40 years earlier say they would be going to New Jersey.
See what I mean lerkers?

The Watchtower Bible & Track Society Inc. says they are at times receiving "New Light" from Jehovah God. But can it really be called "New" Light?
In 1889 the Watchtower Bible & Track Society Inc. published:
"And that the battle of the great day of God almighty which will end in AD 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth?s present rulership has already commenced."
Then they had new light:
"The gentile times prove that the present governments must all be overturned by AD 1915."
Then more new light:
"The time of the end began in 1799, that the Lord?s second presence began in 1874."
I'll even leave 1975 out of this discussion.
Then the new light was that Christ's second coming was in 1914 and the end would come seventy or eighty years later.
Now the latest new light is that when Jesus said, "this generation", he didn't mean, "generation", he meant "exteneded period of time".
So, if this "New Light" is coming from Jehovah God, why does it need to be replaced? Why would God give false light which would need to be replaced by "New Light"?
Why wouldn't God tell the Watchtower Bible & Track Society Inc. the truth in the first place?
Why is this so hard to see from inside the collective Borg?

he said he wanted to get back together this very afternoon.
he didn't even want to wait till tonight.
he'd called me after seeing an ad i'd placed online and in a local magazine.
No Six... he's not. But he did save money by switching to Geico!
