I'm a Pioneer Married To a Wonderful Brother Reaching Out to be an MS...

and petrified... i just recently became a pioneer and always had nagging questions in the back of my mind.

so, i decided that when i have get a study i would research all the questions as i go along so as to prove everything in the truth... i got 4 studies in about 2 months.

all was fine, until i reached i think chapter 6 in the bible teach book about the resurrection.

Class Suit Against the Watchtower -- Anyone?

i'm inviting former jws to file a class suit against the watchtower for psychological, sociological, physical, intellectual, biological and financial damages.

1. followers are made to believe that the christian bible is the sole and exclusive word of god.

If you look at the definition. I believe the coercive persuasion without his knowledge could be proved.

The threat would be if you don't conform to our teachings you will die (Jehovah will destroy you). For ones like me whom were born into the Tower and were brainwashed from infancy, this psychological harm is very real.

If you could find a lawyer to take in on in contengency I think you might have a chance. If a lawyer believed in it that much, there may be something to it.

I would try this... Research one your own the exact stance the Watchtower takes on blood transfusions (only Watchtower material). Discover all the fraction you can take, then add those fractions up and see what is missing to make whole blood. Then ask the average members to explain to you the Watchtower's position. They will not be able to explain it properly. Many will simply not know the facts. Then ask yourself this, Why is a subject, which involves life and death, not taught perfectly by the Watchtower. Why don't they make it clear and make sure the members know exactly what they cannot have concerning blood.

i was molested by a jw.

he was a young man about 19 yrs.old and he went to bethel after molesting me and i was only about 12 or 13 yrs.old.

i have never told anyone because i was so afraid of being disfellowshipped for letting this happen to me.

I'm sorry you're having a difficult time. My daughter almost made it out. I was to pick her up from her mother's (she was 18). I told her not to talk to anyone until I got her out. She just couldn't do it. Her mother and elders worked her over good. She called me crying saying she didn't want to die.

Are the elders making you feel guilty? This is not something God uses to have a good relationship with him/her. Be safe and strong.

oh, how many of us heard that we wouldn't make it to graduation or get married in this system?

i thought i wouldn't grow up.

no one talked about preparing for the future.

Yep...

I wasn't suppose to make it to 30 years old. For sure we would never see the year 2000, because once the new system was here there would be no need to keep counting days and years.

Well, today I'm 43 and I really enjoy counting the years past 2000. My life's goal now is to get my 22 year old daughter out. She hasn't spoken to me in about 4 years.

ten pounds in ten weeks

so it's january 1 and i want to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.

i've been on a diet for a year and a half and have lost 130 pounds.

weight loss has slowed down, so i need more focus and more exercise.

Your weight loss is great! Congrat's!

I just lost 30 lbs in 2 months, before the holidays. I've gained 8lbs back, but will be back on Atkins after our friends leave this Monday. Once I lose the bulk of 28lbs, I start eating better and I joined a gym last October.
