kinda new to the forums, stumbled across this discussion board whilst researching the wt involvement with the un as an ngo, laughed my head off when i found out they got booted cuz everyone gave em a bad rap (serv's em right) http://www.aimoo.com/forum/postview.cfm?id=311102&categoryid=3459&threadid=1131916&highlight_key=y&keyword1=ngo.

anyway, been a "baptized" jw since 13 at the cow palace (now 20).... been a "questioning" jw since a few months after my "baptism".... still hang around the jw's... heck i was brought up as one from a tot and all of my good friends are jw's... even my girlfriend is a jw..... sigh... i've told her my stance... i'm way more liberal when it comes to religion and spirituality than i was taught to be, and bless the creator, she still loves me.

but anyway i'm at a continuing crossroads, as far as staying or leaving.... i shan't be in this state of mind for much longer but i'm just trying to get good reasons to pack the bags.... if anyone has some "meat" for me to sink my teeth into pass it my way.. haha, wow i'm spilling my guts and no one even knows me yet lol.

it has been accomplished, it's over, done, kaput.

a chapter of my life that has lasted 5 and 1/2 years has reached its final page and the book is now closed.

(no, i'm not talking about my sex life, that's been more than...erm, well, never mind).

I love Fawley Towers

I thought the early series of Red Dwarf were great but the later ones really werent funny

Black adder goes forth was hilarious

One thats not on the list but was great is Men Behaving Badly (the UK version )

Oh and Bottom was absolutely sick but very funny !

BTW: Is it only me that thinks Benny Hill was absolutely crap ?

There is also one called 'How clean is your house' on channel 4. It gross but hilarious that these two very well dressed, snooty ladies turn up and tear strips off the people who live there, and love to tell them how disgusting they are.

disassociated without baptism

i believe there was a topic about disfellowshipping an unbaptized person awhile back but i can't remember enough of the details to find it.. i was speaking with a friend yesterday who was disassociated as a young teenager, complete with a reading to the congregation and shunning, despite the fact that this person was never baptized.. (i tipped my hand a bit by blurting out that they aren't supposed to be able to do that if you aren't baptized.

way to go, smartie!

nice way to play it cool with how much research this non-jw has done, but that's beside the point.).

I must have only been about 8 at the time, but I remember this because I asked my mum about it after the announcment. There was a young lad in our hall that had been df'd, but when this new light came in I remember the announcement that he could no longer be considered df'd because he was never baptised BUT he should be considered as marked.
