This is the first year we have put presents under the tree, so far nothing has been sneakly opened, but the kids are keeping track of the number under there - yesterday I added a little one each for the kids (they know which are theirs because they chose the wrapping paper). Liam came home and spotted it straight away and went running to Dylan shouting 'THERE'S MORE PRESENTS !!!!!'
Before I got around to wrapping them, they were hidden right under their nose ! Neither of them thought to investigate the large lump on the floor in our bedroom that had a dressing gown thrown over it , or the plastic bags that suddenly appeared on top of the wardrobes in the kids rooms
We will probably have to get more creative with hiding things as they get older.

I aways tried to do something special for my daughter and make sure she got some new clothes and toys during that time of year
Thats great Hapgood, my parents did the same for me, we had a family present day.
I did find it very hard at school at that time of the year though, there was so much going on that I couldnt be a part of.

So they were all set with party clothes in a bag to change into and their assigned food/drink they had to bring. They have come home tonight with a little present each that Santa brought around the classrooms (Liam was laughing and came out saying 'It wasn?t the REAL Santa it was Mr Holt dressed up !, the real Santa must be too busy )
Last week was the Christmas concert they had been practising for weeks and were so excited that we were going to see them - we definitely did the proud parents bit ! Liam's class did a song and dance from Mary Poppins and Dylan's from the Wizard of Oz followed by a nativity play. We had been hearing Dylan practising his classes song for weeks, ' Yiddle Donkey' according to Dylan speak !
Its so great to see them enjoying this time of year, bringing cards home from their friends and taking them in, making little Christmas crafts to hang on the tree.
I felt a bit sad this morning though when I saw a little boy in Liam's class that is a JW. I heard his mum arranging to pick him up early before the party. I felt so sorry for him because, I remember growing up going through school at this time of year and standing out as different and not joining in.

today i wake up to the phone ringing someone had left a message, so i get up and look at the caller id it says robert mcuire, that is my x-brother in laws name.
i was actually pleased i thought "oh robby found me" he married my monster sister when i was 9. i listen to the message and it is the monster i guess she is using robbies name has her phone under his name etc????????
he lives somewhere else and hates her ????????
