Maybe we need to start a list on the internet! Let those who have been abused anonymously post the situation and name of the abuser. I'm sure that would bring on some legal issues though.

by flipper ini got the idea for this thread by talking with a friend this weekend who had been abused by a father when young.
this person confronted this parent about it and got a very self righteous reply back from the offender.
already a precedent for exposing the watchtower society has been set.

why not stop overpopulation of the planet which in turn extends all the resources for all the people? I don't care how much solar and wind power you use, or how much biofuel you put in your car - none of it matters because it's just more hot air blowing in the wind. The population is set to increase 3 billion more in short order - that in itself will destroy the resources. It's not the resources we have. It's not just how we use them. It's too many people.
Unfortunately, it's a small percentage of the planets population that consumes most of the resources. Some poor family in Africa isn't using any gas, some moron in LA driving a Hummer is wasting lots.
It can't be hurting people too much despite all the grumbling because:
a) Europeans have been paying these prices for years (and choose to drive more fuel efficient vehicles because of it)
b) People still pass me on the highway going well over the limit so must have money to burnYou don't need to change your car to drive a more fuel efficient vehicle - just plan your trips a little to cut down on the runs you make a shave a few km/h or mph off your speed and you will save money on gas.

Where are these threats that you received if you did in fact receive them against yourself and your family?
Simon never said that Mike made any threats, he said he Mike made libelous comments about him and the moderators. These comments were posted on this site and repeated by Mike on his own site so it is quite well documented.
I get the feeling Pinball that you are not as new to this forum as you would like people to believe.

Sirona. I could tiptoe all around it but it comes down to someone being an idiot and it isn't me.
Hey, I loved Star Wars ... all that "force" stuff was great fun. I think I'd be an idiot if I actually believed it was real though. Shrek was fun with the 'fairy tale creatures' but it was animation.
Now as to who is insulting who, the point I was making is that this person and others like them are the ones that start with the insults. Basically, what they are saying is:
"Hey, we believe in mystic stuff (ooooh, wiggling fingers). You should believe in it too but if you don't it's because you are too lazy to try or just aren't smart enough like us".
The bottom line is that the original quote was insulting and the person is a complete idiot. There is no difference in what they are doing (selling books) and other people selling red stringy bracelets or super-cure-all medicine from a carpet bag.
Some of us just chose to live in the current century or the place I like to think of as 'reality' though.
Thanks for the ad-hominem attacks though - you can always tell that people don't have an argument and lack confidence in their belief system when they resort to that ...
