It was really short. carson introduces denver. denver sits down. carson immediately asks denver if it is true that at his concerts he asks Jehovah's witnesses to leave. denver says yes. carson then says "then i am asking you to leave". denver walks off stage.

by ZeroKool29 ini was once told that john denver (folk singer of songs like rocky mountain high and such) was on the tonight show one night.
he was a huge patriot and apparently had no love whatsoever for jw's.
apparently as the story goes, john gets up to sing a patriotic song and before he begins tells the audience "if there are any jehovah witnesses in the audience, you may want to leave right now.

what i have heard about john denver's concerts is that at the beginning of his concert he would play the national anthem and at the end of the song he would ask anyone sitting to leave.
Gloria Estefan just plain tells witnesses to leave. If you don't believe that email her and ask her.

shotgun: The only thing that carson said live on the show was that he knew some witnesses and that they were good people and then asked denver to leave. It was very short maybe around 20 seconds. The commit about someone on his staff being a dub was not connected to the appearance of Denver on the show. Now if i lose credibility over that so be it.

Nowhere--evidently you are nowhere--if you will read the posts. I stated that I saw the carson show but i was not a first hand witness to who was a dub on the staff of the carson show.

shotgun: not a first hand report but rumor has it that one of his writers was a dub. Gloria Estefan--I know for a fact that at a concert in Miami she asked any jw's that was in the audience to leave, so she can't be all bad. And if that is true about Clint Black then I'll have to start listening to C&W music.u

matty: You believe everything you see on the internet just like you believe that the watchtower cd has no changes or omissions. Now I know what I seen and if you can't believe an eye-witness then you are s keptical beyond hope.
I have been watching this site for over a year I think and for some unknown reason deceided to start posting. probably just bored, need to get a job and a life. Oh yeah have been in the borg for almost 30-years and glad to reverse a mistake.

Yes that is true. In fact I remember watching the johnny carson show when carson asked denver to leave.
