  Does anybody own or want a scooter?

  i used to have a little honda 50cc spree scooter.

  it was fun to ride to the store and just putt around the country- it was just too slow.

  lately with gas creeping up i have decided maybe i should get another scooter as i just can't justify spending so much on gas to meet my friends for a drink and a hamburger.

  Ditto... I prefer my 95 Cubic Inch. Besides, I would look funny on a scooter in my chaps and beanie.... hehe

  I see many of the scooters now around town here, very practical in the city. I do not see them on the highways tho, too dangerous.

  the plot has some inconsistencies, but the issues the book deals with are interesting nonetheless.

  Can a staunch Democrat be good friends with a staunch Republican?

  for those with strong political views, is it impossible to be really good friends with someone on the other side?

  my very best friends either tend to think like me on the political continuum or have no care whatsoever for politics.

  those with exceptionally strong leaning toward the other party tend to get mean and nasty in political discussions which invariably deteriorate hopes for a deeper friendship.. what has been your experience?.

  All of my friends and family talk politics... we are very active in politics. We can disagree without attacking each other, we all know opinions are just that and for the most part it is all we have. I draw the line when someone tries to force thier opinion on me or mine. It doesnt happen more than once.

  I avoid all emotional responses to any political stuff, it just shows the tribal thing, blind faith in a party etc. Thats why I avoid anything political here on this site. Works for me.

  we are expecting the second grandkid next week, on 8-3... planned c-section.

  my job is to watch our first one until all is done then take him in to meet his new sister.

  he is 1 1/2, and my buddy.. well, i just got a call that my son thinks her water just broke.
