  the group i founded, sons of liberty riders, is taking a kid for a ride on a harley, in pa.. while this may not seem like a big deal to us adults, most of us dont have the same limitations he has.

  ryan has cancer, to the point that he probly wont make it past this summer, if that long.

  when we were asked, by my sister, to grant his wish, we knew it could get big.

  yep... we plan on posting reports from people there, plus pictures.

  As a side note, the same people plus more will be doing the funeral procession when the time comes for Ryan. Back in the early 90's, we did this same type thing in Lancaster, PA for an 8 year old named Matt. When he died, we had several hundred bikes show up and do a funeral procession to the cemetary. You have never been touched so deeply until you are side by side with the biggest and baddest, all holding each other tightly and crying. It was part of my turning point, I think.

  We also made Ryan an honorary member of Sons of Liberty Riders. Several other clubs did the same.

  Aint life a bitch.... this happens to kids, yet ignorant assholes live to ripe old ages.

  I Want My Money Back!

  do you remember the donation box on a stand at the back of the kingdom hall, or sitting on the coffee table in the centre of the room at the book study?

  since i was a little kid i remember my grandmother giving me a few coins to put in the box for the world wide preaching work fund...and then as i grew older...i was given a note or two...this time for a neighbouring kingdom hall fund.

  as time went by...an adult in my own right...i would discreetly put in a few notes for the kingdom hall utilities or to help with the costs of hiring a stadium for the district conventions etc...and sometimes for kingdom hall quick build projects.. i feel so ripped off when i reflect on the amount of money the wt has inherited from deceased estates...and the amount of money and real estate they have hoarded over the years.

  Well, I helped myself to the money in the box in our hall when I was 15 and getting ready to run away. We were rebuilding the roof on the hall, and I would go down inside to take a leak, or whatever... and snag some 20's every trip. Over a few weeks, I had hundreds of dollars, which financed a few of my excursions away from the assholes.

  Did god really invent Harly Davidsons

  Thoughts about Depression and Anxiety

  this is mostly directed to others that were born/raised in the cult.

  more specifically those raised in the cult who also suffered from severe depression and/or social anxiety disorder or any other mental illness (other than the normal probs that come with being in the borg).

  sometimes i wonder if its just me that doesnt feel like a person now.

  Since I left my family at 15, I had the same problems. I dealt with them differently tho... I did it all. "No fear" would describe me as a teen, and I really shouldnt have lived thru it.

  To this day, 30 years later, I still try new things to see if I like them. I am more practical now (no more jumping my HD over seesaws), but I still like a challenge.

  I always refer to "kicking the rope" to my wife. Picture yourself standing in a rope circle, which is your life experiences. You cannot step over the rope. You can, however, kick it a little, whenever you want to. With each kick, you grow and learn.
