Raised as a witness in the bay area of California. Never really acted like a witness. Always ashamed of going out in service, I never wanted to ring the door bell of anyone I went to school with. I remember the other witness kids I hung out with felt the same way. Funny thing, I believe almost all those kids are out now. It was strange living a double life. Getting out at the age of 18 was a good thing. My family are still witnesses and I stayed away for a long time but now we have a good relationship. Now I'm a husband and a father and I'm happy being me. I have no intent on going back or joining any other religion, at the moment. It's good to know that there are others out there who are doing good and that they have forums like this where they can vent or debate or just read. Thanks
