  Has this happened to anyone else?

  ok, this may sound silly and trivial.

  but, i need to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.. as a result of facial hair (a goatee and mustache), i was relieved of my incredibly important.

  later, i felt like i should send the elders a thank you note for their wake up call to the fact that i was in a very messed up religion.

  Yes, exactly the same in fact. I was told the same thing, and it was exactly what got me out as well. It was the straw that broke the camel's back.

  I'm with Puternut on this one... God doesn't care whether we have facial hair.

  Even if he did, he would not ban it completely I am sure. A well kept beard or moustache can compliment a face well... sure... if it is the length of ZZ Tops, with bits of dirt, food, insects, various new lifeforms, then sure, someone may recommend a slight trim. But anything short of that (i.e. if not everything on that checklist is met), I dont see a problem.

  I usually hate these threads, but.... who is FMZ?

  ok... as the title states... i usually see these threads as the author being really up themselves, but something just occured to me, and i would like an opinion.. those who have seen me in chat / pm'ed me / read enough of my posts have seen me joke around.

  i flirt (with members of the opposite sex, and the same sex), play around, mock people, once in a while get depressed... etc etc.... but... in real life i am so different than all this.

  i am a loving husband (very straight) and step father at 21 years of age.

  Kidding, of course we know you are, wish you could get her to post on here, if she is just as cool as your are she would be fun to have on here.

  No way!!! Then she'll find out what kinda sordid things I write on here... that wouldn't be good........

  All joking aside, I have suggested that she join up the ranks, but she isn't too interested unfortunately. She has plenty going on in her life. The only reason I am able to post here as much as I do is cause I work the night shift and get very lonely...

  LT... there is a difference between me enjoying who I am and other people enjoying who I am. For instance... I think it would be real fun to go play in the rain, then run into a stranger's house and jump on their bed, not sure if they'd think so tho.... lol (thanks for the words of encouragement though mate, means a lot coming from ya)

  Slippy... why do you think I like so much? After a quick $20 pay off to a vet to remove it's teeth.... it is perfection. lmao

  All in all, this thread was somewhat of a success... in that I found out what I needed to know... i.e. people don't think I am some total joker who cannot take anything seriously.

  Now I may as well explain why I posted this thread (and it wasn't to have my ego stroked... if it was then the title would be "Hey baby, come over here and stroke my....."). I was speaking with the wife a few days ago, and she asked me whether I made it clear that I was married (happily, may I add) on JWD, and whether people know I am only joking or flirting. My instant response was of course! I have posted on quite a few threads about my wife and I. But the other day, it struck me, maybe some people still thought I was a "player". Although this question never got specifically answered by anyone, I think the overall consensus is that no-one takes my banter too seriously, and that is good enough for me.
