Holly, It's so good to see the change that's taken place within you since you first arrived such a short time ago. It's as though a light has suddenly turned on and with that light your doubts and concerns have vanished - refreshing. poppers

Three of the most important question you will ever ask yourself:
by Chance inat some point everyone asks these questions?
what is the meaning of life?
why has god let terrible things happen?

That is a very interesting perspective on the whole duality of god and his creation. Allow me to add one idea to it for your consideration: what if god and everything in his creation is the same thing, himself. In other words, what if god has disguised himself in everything (as everything), including man, and is playing a game of forgetfulness and is now enjoying this game as he watches his creation figure out how to remember it is just a game, that they are actually disguises of himself. But to make sure that his creation doesn't actually forget their true identity, he leaves clues everywhere, some in the form of wise teachers who have 'accidently' discovered this when they turned their awareness away from the manifested world and upon their own being.
Wouldn't that be something! In this scenario nobody would be condemned to be outside paradise, but part of the game would be that there would be a belief that this could happen. That would create endless scenarios within the grand scenario that would provide endless entertainment for himself. God would have everything he wanted: something to break up the boredom, seemingly independent thinkers (remember, he made people forget they were god in a very convincing manner) who could appear to love or hate him while playing a game of obedience or defiance. What possibilities this would have, and what fun for god. Paradise would be here now always for those who were able to see it.
In this scenario dualism has been changed to nondualism. There is a whole slew of 'people' throughout the ages who have claimed that this is actually the way it is, and many have attempted to point this out to other 'people' in various ways. Their claims are based not on speculation but in the actuality of having discovered this when they asked themselves the question, 'Who am I' and followed the answer back until all conceptual answers disappeared and the truthfulness of their being was realized. -

Quotes is still posting zany article from the past
by VM44 ini received a message from quotes that he asked to pass on to the forum.i'll be posting to the board an update of my situation probably next week, but not before then.
so far, the news it good.
however, if you would like to post to let everyone know that despite this "watchtower backed persecution" (lol) i continue "faithfully in my sacred service" of publishing zany watchtower quotes.

Don't limit your explorations and investigations to JW, or Christianity. Buddhism has a lot to offer. Look within yourself as well; check out nondualism, meditation, yoga. If you wish to stay within Christianity explore contemplative prayer.

Elsewhere, your quote
<br><br>"The electrons maintain their orbits because of their wave properties... an electron basically forms a resonant "standing wave" around the proton, locking it into a given orbital distance. This is why electrons can only maintain a orbit as very specific distances from the protons."
<br><br>I must say, I feel a little disappointed in you. This sort of intelligence detracts from your humor, which is why I read your posts (although your comment about "wood atoms" worthy of you, so I'm not REALLY disappointed).
<br><br>Now, I will prepare for your response by emptying my bladder now.
<br>
OOPS! I reread your post and see that you didn't really actually truly specifically say anything about 'wood atoms' yourself, so I guess I'm more disappointed than I thought. Excuse me while a crawl off and hide in embarrassment. -

Studies over....................sob............they dont want me...
by holly instraight away told im not ready for baptism, not with the amount and depth of questions, that ive been warned about these sites and that apostates will do anything to knock jws.
proving its the true religion bec the bible says it will happen (shows me scriptures).
also told it doesnt happen with any other religious group - usually people just quietly leave and make no fuss - further proof that ths is the true religion.. i asked about all the dates where predictions were made, eg 1914, 1975. was told there were some articles loosly talking the 'possibility' of something happening, but the wt never said it definitely would - how could it, these are just ordinary men, not profits.

Saying something nice to you: You went into this with your eyes wide open. Congratulations, your vision is 20:20 Not only is your vision good, so is your sense of smell. You have a discriminating mind which will serve you well and a heart that will be open and accepting of others.
It is refreshing to see someone avoid the train wreck that so many didn't.
Now, with this good vision you obviously have, you will see a wonderful world filled with people who will accept YOU for what you are. Would god do anything less?
My best to you,

What do you think
by IP_SEC inthis is part of an apostate book i'm writing.
please tell me if the thought is coherent.
1. where does the bible say that only the governing body can understand the scriptures?.

"4. Since these books could be understood with out the help of the Governing Body in Israel and they make up the largest portion of the bible, do we only need the Governing Body?s help to understand the Greek Scriptures?"
This is kind of fuzzy to me. I am not and never have been a dub so I am trying to figure out what exactly you mean. I realize that this is probably written for someone knowledgeable about JW and they most likely would know what you are referring to. To the casual reader, however, it is a bit confusing. As it stands, it sounds like the GB is in Isreal now. Is that the case? (really, I don't know)
Do you mean to convey the idea that the Governing Body wasn't in existence at the time the books in the bible were written? If so, perhaps something like the following would be more clear:
Since the Governing Body wasn't in existence at the time these books were written, and these books make up the largest portion of the bible, do we need only the Governing Body's help in understanding the Greek Scriptures?
For the casual reader this would make more sense. Just my opinion.
If you stick with your original idea make 'with out' one word - without -

Intelligence
by onacruse inthis matter has been brought up for discussion here many times before, but for certain reasons i ask that you will patiently bear with me as i bring it up yet again.. what constitutes intelligence?
is it (among many possibilities):.
1) the mere accumulation of knowledge...factual information?.
