Hi Serendipity - you said, "It's amazing to be "in flow" where I'm totally engrossed in a project and don't notice the passage of time. I love walking along the shoreline, listening to waves crashing, squishing sand between my toes, feeling very small compared to the vast ocean, yet still feeling a part of creation anyway."
You are describing what happens when you are in your true nature, when the ego and mind have temporarily stopped. Yes, it is awesome, and yet natural because you are more closely aligned with your true essence. You don't notice time because it is the mind which creates the concept of time, and when you are so engrossed in a project/playing/listening to music/walking in nature and toally absorbed in it the mind stops and so does "time".

I never could get into it - tried several times but I just couldn't keep at it. Must be my Catholic upbringing.

Seeing the Grand Canyon - wow! Also, years ago I went to the Huntington Library in Pasadena and wandered into the art gallery. On one wall was "Blue Boy" and on the opposite wall facing it was"Pinky". I had seen photos of Blue Boy before but I had never seen Pinky. I sat transfixed for about half an hour just staring at it in silent wonder - all thoughts stopped completely. Quite awesome. I had never before had such an experience with a piece of art.

Go Hawks! from a Packers fan - I can't help but root for them since they have our old coach, Mike Holmgrem. They are "Packers, Seattle version" to me.

Welcome Joe, you've found a great place to open up and unburden yourself. Although I've never been a JW it has been my pleasure to witness how exJWs here at JWD offer love and support to those who are struggling. You are among friends.

Are you "star-struck" by famous people?
by free2beme ini have had several encounters in my life with "famous" people.
one time, when i managed a movie theatre, ron howard came into the theatre with his family and sister's family.
it was a little time before the show and people in the lobby were bothering him, so we took him to the projection booth to wait and he was actually a nice guy.

I met baseball Hall of Fame player Paul Molitor on a plane once, when he was still a player. I just asked if it was him and he said "yes". I didn't want to act like a "fan" and ask for an autograph so I just talked to him a bit. I mentioned how I saw him play many times in Milwaukee the year they went to the World Series, and how I never saw the Brewers lose when I went to a game. He readily shared some personal information about himself without my asking, and asked about me - very down to earth and classy.
Another time while waiting at LA Airport to board a plane Audie Murphy of WWII fame was paged - at least I think it was the same guy, but don't know for sure. Though I didn't actually meet him I like to think that I had an "encounter" with him, however ephemeral. -

HOW DO WE SOLVE THIS PARADOX?
by Terry inreligion tells us that man has a damaged consciousness polluted by sin.
religion tells us that man cannot think or reason on his own power.
religion teaches us that .

PMJ - you've got to understand something about your spelling, it draws negative attention to yourself. People can't help but notice it, just as it's hard to ignore a huge ugly wart on someone's face, and even though you know you shouldn't stare you just can't help yourself from doing so. Warts can be removed, and spelling and grammar can be improved. Doing so will eliminate a source of criticism and will allow your message to be taken, perhaps, a little more seriously by others.
