My wife thought we'd get double digits (10+). My guess was 2, as we have one sister that shows interest in is and I figured a wild card in there somewhere. We sit at zero. None from family, who knows we've drawn away somewhat, and none from "the friends", a JW term signifying nothing. They never cared enough to try to help over the past years of our fade, but the second we talked to my DFed relative they all shunned us. -

Breaking News: Debbie McDaniel's House Vandalized Overnight with JW Threats!
by DarioKehl inhttps://www.revealnews.org/article/she-spoke-about-jehovahs-witness-abuse-and-her-home-was-vandalized/i've been watching this gal all week too in addition to the rc developments in australia.
they just ran an article about her yesterday, and she found this vandalism this morning.
i hope it's not staged because that would hurt her credibility, but they ran with this story today:.

Someone needs some writing samples from that Lawrence guy. He's a proven creepy stalker. I do hope it wasn't just some random person or her trying to make the Borg look crazier than they are already. -

Day 4 Looks to Be Live at Any Moment - Link...and Upcoming Witness List!

anyone know who this monty baker is?
i'm sure this guy will be able to tell the rc how things work behind the scenes without all the evasiveness, being that he is an "apostate".

@breakfastofchampions - I loved that point too. It is ironic that they have no problem enforcing reporting within the organization. They just don't care for reporting outside it much. These Aussies have made some devastating points. Too bad most JW's won't ever hear it or allow themselves to even think about it. I used to be that way.

Congratulations Dr. Applewhite! Your name can be added to a long list of people that tried to defend the organization and were eventually proven to look like morons for doing so, myself included. Just five months ago I was defending the organization to a friend of mine that was out for a long time, and then Tony went online and whined about tight pants and Spanx and how brothers could only be marriage material if they had positions in the congregation, and I too looked like an ass. Five months later I now know that I grew up in a mindless cult and am walking away in freedom. At least you get a check when you walk away. You lost some credibility and a few hours of time. I lost almost four decades and all of my family and friends. -

Dayum!!!!!!! Just checked in for a minute and watched maybe the last ten minutes or so. Good Lord they owned her and got her to destroy the organization. She stuttered and stammered and was on the run because she's trying to defend the indefensible. Wow!

Jehovah's Witnesses Attorney's Keeping Things Secret
by OrphanCrow inthe person who has made this video has done some pretty good investigation into the watchtower lawyers in ny.. this is a revealing 10 minute watch.

hmmm...i wonder what he could turn up on boston college?

Wow, there's several minutes I can't get back. That was a whole bunch of nothing. He never proved that the people in question were members of any of those secret societies or that they don't exist elsewhere. Nor did he prove anything other than the obvious at the end, that all of those people worked for "The Society" as lawyers for WTBTS, which was already known. You don't have to reach so far to point out weirdness in the Borg. That one was a stretch. -

"So did the Holy Spirit get it wrong?"
by stuckinarut2 inin the australian royal commission, the issue of appointment of ministerial servants and elders came up for intense scrutiny.. using the elders books and society publication references, the prosecution questioned the premise that "holy spirit directs appointments".
the question was proposed as to whether this "process was accurate or was it flawed" seeing as many appointed ones were in fact not very righteous, or "spiritual".
indeed, the issue about "spirituality" was also raised, and the definition of what makes someone "spiritually mature" in the organisation's eyes was raised.

Turns out they don't care about JW children either.............
by dubstepped inso by now most of us have seen the clip of an elder getting owned by the attorney regarding why they don't seem to care for the children outside of the congregation by refusing to report suspected child abusers.
if not, here's a link:.

But let's take a peek into the 2013 Guidelines For Branch Office Service Desks found HERE about 3/4 of the way down (it is a pdf download).
Something that caught my attention in particular, and my wife's as well, was point 11. It states:
11. If a former child molester continues in a position of responsibility—whether the sin occurred before or after baptism—there may be some serious problems if he later molests a child. This could bring great reproach on Jehovah’s name, and it could affect the faith and confidence that our brothers have in Jehovah’s organization. So the branch office is to consider this matter very carefully, weighing all the potential implications and factors before determining how a former child molester is to be used in the congregation.
Just let that soak in. They are worried that if someone in authority molests a child it could A.) bring reproach upon Jehovah's name and B.) could affect the faith and confidence others have in the organization. Do you see anything missing there? WHAT ABOUT THE FACT THAT IT COULD ALSO DESTROY SOME CHILD FOR LIFE!!!!
They don't even think about the kids. They are so worried about their precious appearance that they throw child molestation out there like there isn't even a CHILD involved? Maybe there is more to the instructions than what the RC provided or that I personally saw, but they don't really even mention the children until the very end, the last page of that topic as presented. The focus is on the molester themselves and how they can be used in the congregation. Not on how to help children that have been affected and their families. Certainly NO mention of going to the authorities. Again, I hope they go on somewhere after that to address those subjects, but you would think that in all of that information covered they could manage to include at least some of that. They certainly managed to cover how much of an impact this could have on their own reputation. Again, what about the kids? Worldly kids be damned, after all we have no need to report anyone to the authorities to help protect them. And JW kids? Meh, child is just a word put in front of molester to describe people that we might want to use organizationally.

Clip of shocking testimony from Day 2 of the Royal Commission hearing

That just went right through me. I'm ashamed to admit that I never thought of that point that he made. Why? Because that religion creates narcissists that cannot see past themselves, their own feelings, and those outside are just background noise at best and dangerous the rest of the time. I recently posted about this in a thread on the subject. JWs don't even know what love is. They cannot see others, cannot mirror them. They are lost in their own little cult. I'm ashamed to say that I was once like that. I'm heartbroken at what the Borg does to human beings in filling their humanity away. Tough watch, though there was something enthralling about watching the organization get exposed.
