I'm also a fan of the podcast. I like that you discuss articles that are more than just surface level fluff pieces. I subscribe to yours, among others, and although your show isn't the OG JW podcast it is my second favorite ex-JW show right now. JW Podcast was great but very inconsistent (learn a lesson from that) and their audio quality is in the toilet right now as they're going through yet another change. Apostate Awake is my favorite, though not really always ex-JW centered. The Critical Thought Podcast can be good as well.

Expanding number of DC/RC's
by DwainBowman inaccording to my elder in law, by next year the number of dc/rc's will increase by 143. the size of conventions will get smaller.
the elder in law says the goal is to make them all have around 2,000 or so at each.
they are going to make more manuals detailing each job and it's responsibilities.

Makes me remember when I was younger and helped remove rows of chairs from the KH to make it look fuller. I had forgotten about that. Attendance was down and it didn't look so empty that way.

ever since my parents actually told me that they are going to kick me out when i turn 18 i've felt kind of hopeless about my life.
my parents won't take me to the doctor because the psychiatrists won't have my "best interests" aka jw crap in mind, because really that's the root of all my problems.. i'm wondering if any of you guys have any advice with dealing with depression?

I just want to point out that there's nothing wrong with pills, if you need them, and that they aren't magic. I'm sorry you had a bad reaction, but instead of running away you probably needed either a different med or dosage. You have to be allowed to work with them for a time to get things straight.
With that said, pills are just a tool, you have to have other tools like counseling, the ability to control your own life, and support. Your parents are extremely a abusive and negligent. Get away from them, live life free, and things may clear up. You should definitely still see a therapist as you come out of this, and if someday you need a pill, that's cool too, just know that getting it right is a process, not a one time thing. Brain chemistry is tricky and always changing.

If it's too hot to exercise outside, there are lots of exercises you can do indoors. There are so many free videos on youtube of exercises that you can do from home. Pick something you like and do it. It is a great mood enhancer.

Disassociation Announcement
by Paul Bonanno indid anyone experience a disassociation announcement during the public meeting instead during the service meeting?.
in my case it was announced the next day that we submitted our letter and this was on sunday instead of waiting for the service meeting on thursday..

I know that I've heard of such announcements being made on Sundays before. It stuck out in my mind as different. It isn't supposed to be that way, but in the end it doesn't matter. You're free even sooner! Congratulations on your disassociation. It was great when both my wife and I did it last fall.
Oh, and ignore the people that question your decision instead of chiming in with anything constructive whatsoever. It's yours to make. It is the ultimate way to stop playing their games. Game over, it's done, you can move on without further harassment. Live a beautiful life unencumbered by dubs for the rest of your days.

Who wouldn't be depressed in your situation? Realize there's nothing wrong with you, it's your circumstances. Eating disorders are often about controlling that one thing because otherwise you have no control in this. This is all on the cult and your parents. I second the recommendation of finding good online support for your eating disorder.
