as i have come to see i have way more friends at school than my kingdom hall but if i get asked about school and i say something about my friends or ask to hang out with my friends to my aunt she gives me a talk about not to like worldly people to much.. for example i ask to go to my friends house (that is a girl)i have known her from 1st grade and my aunt gets mad at me saying what if she says i raped her or something but she lets me go by my self with brothers to hang out if i want but theres a chance i will get raped there to.. read my other posts to understand my story .

Substitute the word "black" or "white" or "Asian" or whatever for "worldly" and your aunt would think that's messed up, but she's just prejudiced for different reasons. It's ugly, isn't it? The people I've met on the outside are FAR better than those on the inside.
As an aside, a girl at my Hall growing up was pregnant. She claimed that a Hispanic raped her to the elders, who then pretty much told everyone in the congregation so we knew what was up when the baby bump showed. Because, of course, that was everyone's business.
Anyway, she's now married to him with several kiddos. Turns out she was secretly dating the guy and cried rape to stay in the organization. She was eventually disfellowshipped but she came back to the cult.

I guess going with video boards for the lyrics is step one in loosening up the hands for clapping and the body to let the spirit flow. I'm sure they had parts on the meeting where they were up front about this rather than just manipulating the masses, right?

I can really feel your pain in the words of your original post, and I'm very sorry that you're facing this. I wish there were some wise words to make you feel better, but all I can muster is to let you know that people here care and that we're all sorry about this. akid, one thing you have to realize is that the people teaching this to you like your aunt have been lie to also, they just can't see it. Try to have some compassion for them. You are clearly a smart young man to catch on to this. Those other people aren't stupid, they've just gone so far down a path and have so much to lose that they are blind to the actual truth. You haven't gone down that path yet, so it isn't as big of a deal to you.
Myself, I was 38 when I woke up to what was really going on. Some wake up very late in life.
Your skills at asking questions will serve you well in life. Be curious, but also be willing to challenge things to see if they hold up. Challenge yourself too. Sometimes it is uncomfortable to do so. It hurt me a lot to challenge my JW beliefs that I held for so long. But it was worth it for me. I'm not sure that everyone has what it takes to do that. Humans are very complicated.

7Okay then, it sounds like there are repercussions. It sounds like your aunt is a JW and so is your big brother, am I right? Oh boy, I don't know how to advise you, but JWfacts is a great site. Unfortunately though, it may not go well for you if your aunt knows that you're looking at stuff from ex-JWs. I seriously doubt that you can open their eyes and have honest discussions about it because they believe it.
You're in a tough place. You should have to face this at 13. I'm sorry, but honestly I don't know what to tell you because none of us knows your situation well at all or the people that you're dealing with.
If you have to go along with things, I guess you have no choice. Just don't get baptized. If you do, there are more severe consequences if you leave someday. The rest is a game you have to play.

Cool then. So if you stop studying there are no repercussions, right? Or is your aunt a JW? If so, drop it like it's hot and just tell him you don't want to study. You will save yourself a lot of heartache. You've had enough with your parents dying when you were so young. I'm so sorry. Just know that JWs are a cult and they will shun you someday and you will lose everyone again if you become one and change your mind.
You deserve better than them.

We need to know who is studying with you and the circumstances around that before telling you to refuse study. For all we know it's your parents, as you're just 13.
