It's their private property. I'm pretty sure they can ask you not to return for no reason if they want. Disturbance or not, if they specifically tell you not to come back, you're not welcome. Why in the world would you want to go where you're not wanted? Shouldn't this be the impetus to leave them behind?

Did you leave the JW RECENTLY? Really? Recently? WTF were you thinking?
by The Real Edward Gentry innot to be overly harsh...but if you just left, what the hell were you thinking?
between 1995 and now, you never did an internet search of "jehovahs-witness" or "watchtower"?

People were indoctrinated to different levels. I love it when someone can't understand why everyone else isn't exactly like them, but believes that other people are weird, it can't be them even if theirs was the non-conforming story. Ummm, maybe because we're different. We grew up in different families with different pressures and different personalities. I was the oldest kid, both parents were rabid by the books dubs, and I was a natural people pleaser looking for love from two narcissists. That transferred over to the authoritarian and narcissistic Watchtower society that kept me locked down with fear of losing any hope for the future, the only one I had ever known, along with everyone I had ever known, maybe even my wife.
Good for you for getting out sooner. I'd be interested to know what your situation was growing up in it. The non "twat waffle" way of going about asking legitimate questions is to go in with humble curiosity rather than arrogant criticism, if you really want to know instead of trying to set yourself up on high.

Update on the $4000 day fine - Padron v Watchtower
by berrygerry infrom reddit:.
this was an oral argument to dismiss the $4000/day fine.
both sides presented their arguments and now the judges will write an opinion (30 to 90 days).

That's Jehovah's loving organization for you, obfuscating and flip flopping while worshipping their God of money (or appearance). In a judicial committee they expect members to be graphic in detail of their personal matters but the organization hides in every way possible. They are disgusting hypocrites.
The next time someone is pulled into a JC they should tell the elders that they have no control over the legal entity of their genitals and therefore they cannot give details. You'll have to ask my (insert genital here) because I cannot answer for it.

The claim of being identified as true followers because of the quality of love and the complete lack of love shown to those they were supposed to preach to, to outsiders in times of disaster, to those people that were depressed or lowly in the Kingdom Hall, to those that erred or chose a different path, etc. Their "love" is actually control at best, shallow and conditional. They're narcissists.
That was the first thing. Then I came here and researched things and realized the religion was just a cult built on lies. Then I looked into the Bible itself and found the same. I had no intention of becoming an atheist, I simply saw no viable alternative for me and my journey. Others vary, and that's cool too.

Episode 2 of "shunned" is now live! This is my first interview turned podcast and it is exciting. Plus, I enjoyed making a new friend and learning about another culture, that of the Mennonites. In the end, shunning is shunning and we all have so much in common regardless of the journey that got us there. Actually, those journeys aren't that dissimilar because groups that use shunning to control and coerce use a lot of the same fear tactics to evoke that control. I hope this episode helps the exjw community feel even less alone, and that we embrace the shunned from different communities because we have so much shared experience and this person was brave enough to share a very personal story.

-My 9 Part Podcast This JW Life & Something For Tomorrow-
by dubstepped infor those that don't know, i recently did a podcast series called this jw life outlining my life before, during, and after the cult.
i made it with outsiders in mind so that anyone could understand what life as one of jehovah's witnesses is like and what it does to people.
i posted about it as each episode came out, but i know that new people will see this and hope that it might help more people as time goes by, so i will post about it every so often to reach out to those that can find help processing their lives or that want to help outsiders to understand what it was like in one cohesive story.. tomorrow i will release episode 2 of my new podcast called “shunned”.

Yeah, I liked that lady that presented on the second episode. I just couldn't stand having her only in one ear when listening. I do suffer with misophonia, so it can bother me more than most people.
I wasn't a fan of that first episode where they ganged up on Lloyd. I thought it was in poor taste, to be honest. I also felt like many of their attacks on him were the same things they complained about him for doing. It was a pot meet kettle episode for me and I'm not some huge Lloyd fanboy. I was very turned off by jwsurvey when I first came out and found it way too aggressive for me. The guy obviously has some issues, as do all of us, and I just felt that dedicating an episode to elevating those others while putting him down was bad form. I get why they were upset, it just didn't feel like the right way to handle it for me but hey, we're not in a cult anymore and we don't have to agree.
I'm glad that Louise has that show back because she puts out more content than when they try to get everyone together. I like her too, she's fun but still gets serious and gets to the heart of matters.

Oh, I liked the Prodigal Boys too! I wish JW Podcast would be consistent whatsoever and fix their audio. I just couldn't make it through their last one. Critical Thinkers is pretty good when it comes out. That's about it though. From what I understand Prodigal Boys are done podcasting. My wife said that she saw them say that on Twitter. So for right now it's just me doing it monthly, the occasional JW Podcast, and the occasional Critical Thinker. I don't know of any others.
Listen to Snap Judgment #815 and the first story is an amazing story of a polygamist cult that blew my mind. It's just one story, but it was really good.
