Used To Love Her, by Guns n Roses
I used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
I had to put her six feet under
And I can still hear her complainI used to love her, mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, oo, yeah
But I had to kill her
I knew I'd miss her
So I had to keep her
She's buried right in my backyard
Oh yeah
Oo yeah
Whoa, oh yeahI used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
She bitched so much
She drove me nuts
And now I'm happier this way, yeah
Whoa, oh yeahI used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
I had to put her, oo, six feet under
And I can still hear her complain -

I got only 10 out of 16 correct? Probably a good thing that I'm not currently in the dating pool. Maybe I'd figure it out on the dance floor ... or at least by the time we got to the parking lot.

Last one in the top row looks like a Nestle 100 Grand bar ... they used to be called a $100,000 bar.

Fun With The Watchtower. The Sisters Are Cows.
by Englishman innorm hovland very kindly gave me a cd with around 50 years watchtowers as a part of it.. cheers, norm!
i'm having great fun looking up stuff from the 60's and 70's that i recall causing me some astonishment at the time, even though i was still an active dubbie when they were published.
actually it was more than astonishment.

What a price for a girl, a virgin, to pay for a few minutes of satisfied sex emotions!
Yeah, but what if it's more than a few minutes? What if it's several hours? What about a whole weekend of great sex??
Thanks for the flashback, E-man. I remember hearing some of this same stuff when I was a kid in the 60s & 70s.

Blobby, there are also those of us who have been out for many years, but then stumble in here. It's interesting to talk with others who have shared a common experience. I last regularly attended meetings more than 20 years ago.

Homey, Carlin may shun such conveniences, but he's no fool when it comes to self-promotion & making a buck.

I've been a Carlin fan ever since I bought his Class Clown LP back in the 70s. Thanks for the laugh!

Ban on smoking in public places in the UK and todays news
by ball. inireland having just joined the list of countries banning smoking in public places, it has suddenly got media attention here in the uk.. as some of you know, i gave up smoking for a year and a half ago on a thread on this board.
i started again, however, i have always, as smoker and non-smoker, believed that such a ban would mean an infingement on your civil liberties and freedom.. then todays news along with a sad story about a 3 year old who died of obesity:.
obesity has now overtaken smoking as the biggest killer in the uk.. then i wonder, why is this nanny state discussing banning smoking in pubs, when they should be logically banning beer, in light of the new statistics and all the beer belies they show in these news items?

Ball, take a long hard look at the suit against the tobacco companies in the U.S. I think there's another on the horizon, involving either fast food companies or liquor companies. And I think that this sort of suit sets a dangerous precedent, demonizing business rather than those who make personal choices to over-indulge.
