just for a moment imagine that you are talking to a person and he mentions to you that you have to baptize animals in order to be saved or that you have to believe in the trinity doctrine that is composed of god the father, god the son and god the mother(mary) would you believe that these were some of the things early christians believed in.

would you be shocked to know that many dates were set for jesus to rapture up the christians in the sky and nothing materalized?

many born-again christians argue you down tooth and nail stating that born-again christianity does not have skelatons in their closets like the mormons and jw's but the truth of the matter born-again christianity has many, many embarassing skelatons.

Dig all the way back through Christianity and back past Judaism and you'll find the same concepts in ancient cultures that predate both. Take a look at the mythology of Sumer or Egypt and the symbols of those cultures and compare them to modern Christians. Then toss in some real fun stuff like the gnostic gospels and you'll easily offend the Dubs, the Mormons, and the Born Agains.

Names given to children

what i've noticed, is that there seems to be a lot of recent jw parents who make sure to name their kids by some hebrew/biblical name.

so now you have kids running around w/names like ezekiel, reuben, isaiah, etc.

there were also a few strange names that i'm sure some of these kids would've been made fun of because of it.. have any of you noticed this?

I don't think there's anything new about this. My sister's kids range in age from 25 to 33, and they have names from the Old Testament.
