i know it's not the lightest of topics but the current news coverage of the pope's final hours made me wonder if i'd face things as calmly as he is reported to be doing.

i don't have his faith, or any faith anymore, but i can see how for a true believer that would be a source of strength.. the thing is, a lot of us thought we'd never die.

my friends were doing some spring cleaning the other day and they found an old copy of this video.

for grins, we decided to toss back a coke and whiskey or two and watch it.

it was a blast!

OK, Stilla. That's my point. If you considered the possibility of death then, what's so different about it now? Regardless of whether or not I believed we can 'live forever on a pair of dice earth' (on G. Hoover's timetable, of course), it seems like I was always cognizant of my mortality as a human bean.
