Don't forget AC/DC.
I've been a fan since I was a little kid.
My mum tells stories of me sitting uo in my car seat, with my watered down coke in my bottle singing " High toltage rock and roll"
I still sing it at the top of my lungs - so do my kids.
i love australian rock.
cruel sea, beasts of bourbon, nick cave, the church, dave graney, midnight oil, hell, even early inxs (don't change is one of the best songs ever written) and even some kiwi stuff, like split enz/crowded house.
so, for the ozzies on this board, what is it about oz that gives the music it's distinct sound.

My partner refers to them as " God botherers"
I tend to agree with him.

But hey, I was one of you're first fans.
how many of you are ex jw bikers ??
i remember it was frowned upon when i had a bike - risking life and limb on english roads didn't go down too well with some of the more conservative elders.. what kind of bike do you ride ?.
me, i ride a honda goldwing, gl1500 sem - american import.
Hey Skinnyboy,
If you wanna have a good drool session, a lot of my friends take they're bikes into south bank on a friday night after work. The police even let them ride right up to the river. So if you walk down south bank on a good night they're can be up to 100 bike's they're. Lots of girls on bikes too.
If you gonne head down, let me know and I'll make sure i'm threy're.
Ask for slej, My partner, or Leah.

Yeah i agree, those trail bikes, some are small on the engine size, but height wise they're huge.
I'm going to have to have my next bike lowered. I really short, about 5'3".
Stll, worth it in the end. just love to be able to get out more often, but hard to attach a three year old on the back of a road bike.
well it came to a head tonight, and it's over, i'm out, time to turn a new leaf i guess and move on, who know's what the future holds for little old jv
Congratulations.
Know nothing of the circumstances but welcome to the fold.
It gets harder for a while, then it get's way, way easier.
Just remember, we're all here for you adn have all been there.

Yep, biker through and through.
I'm only new at it. Yes, you think it was hard as a male liking bikes, you wanna be a woman who likes bikes, we we're loose, immoral.
Anyway I ride a Kawasaki zzr250. My partner has been riding for years, rides a Suzuki SV650S. Love it, sounds great.
Most of our friends ride and we've just been to the Grand Prix. Best thing I've ever been to.
Me on my bike. Love it. Only a motor cyclist knows why a dog hangs it's head out of the window.
i've been lurking for months, reading your posts nearly every day.
i finally decided to come out of hiding because i need help.
i post on another board that has nothing whatsoever to do with religion and i saw this post-.
My kids are GREATLY blessed and I can explain why if you allow first. And they will definitely grow up with the best morals and the best future hope this world can Never offer, of course if they choose to, once they're old enough to make their own decisions. By then they'll know the consequences of departing from the truth which will keep me in peace of mind that I accomplished what God expects from his loyal servants.Let her know that children who are not raised in Dub families have the best morals too. The world can offer great morals too, it just depends on who the parents let the children associate with.
I've seen many JW parents really screw up the raising of they're children and I'd never let them look after my kidsa, not even for a second.
consequences of departing from the truth
This disturbs me greatly. Children should be able to choose to depart from the JW with no consequences whatsoever.
I'd be very carefull what I say as she has already been brainwashed enough to criticise whatever you say.
As far as this site, she ain't gonna look if she chacks it with the elders as we are "apostates" according to them.
...well at least not for another 7 months or so!!
i've just walked out of my final uni exam for the year, and am feeling pretty chuffed about it:).
i'm really pleased with how the exams went and the effort i put into revision, it just feels like such a bloody good achievement to have followed through with something that has come to mean to much to me.. now it's 4 months off for some serious student bludging time!
Cool frog, well done.
My step brother had just finished yr 12. He's feeling pretty happy with himself.
If you make it to the main land in you're break give us a call. We're in Victoria. Happy to put fellow ex Dubs up.
