actually she was my stepgrandma.
she was 86 years old and in a nursing home in florida.
she was a jw and had been active up until the last few years of her alzheimers disease.

today started off good, it's mother's day, i get breakfast in bed.
then i'm outside doing what i want to do, getting our trailer ready for camping season.. what i thought my hubby (xjw_b12) was doing in the meantime was wishing his mom a happy mother's day, but he came out of the house and was a little on the off side.
instead of what i thought was he was doing and calling his mom, he caught a call from his mom instead, advising us that his uncle passed away on friday, by taking his own life.
Calamityjane and xjw -- I am very sorry for your loss and offer my condolences to you.

all you have to do is answer this "simple" questionaire
xxxxx has applied to join worldwide brotherhood on the web.. .
since your group is set up with a restricted membership, you must approve the application before xxxxx can join and participate in the group.
Um, no.
Gladly, I could only answer "what does KM stand for". LOL Everything else I would have problems with.

well, are there any people on this db who are into gardening?.
i really love it, myself.
i am putting in quite a few vegetables this year.
Don't plant the same item in the same spot every year.
Interesting. I did not know that. When we started gardening we had the WORST soil in the world. Heavy clay that would not even come off the shovel. We compost in the winter and add amendments to the garden boxes every year (its been 2 years).
Unless you live in a very dry area, NEVER water your plants
I am not so sure about this. We get hot sun, but we don't live in a very dry area, and sometimes the plants are downright wilting until they get a bit of water and they perk up almost immediately.

I love gardening. We have tomatoes, zucchini, strawberries, basil, rosemary, chives, oregano and some peppers (jalepeno and red bell peppers). We also have five fruit trees (apricot, peach, nectarine orange & apple). Oh yeah and we planted blueberries, thornless blackberries and table grapes this year. We are trying to get the grapes to grow up an arbor we built.
We only started gardening 2 years ago and still experiment with different veggies. I will be planting pumpkins in June (and only two plants). Last year the pumpkins went wild and took over half my yard (I had planted 8 plants LOL).
Herbs tend to be invasive.
So true -- DONT PLANT MINT!!! You will never get rid of out.

My mother won't get squat. She really is a non-mother anyway as her loyalty is to the WTS.
My fiancee won't tell me what we are doing. Normally I figure out everything (gifts and events) before he can tell me, but this time I decided to let him have his fun. I know my daugher got me a MAC eyeshadow.

.
are you planning to go to an apostofest in the near future?
i've met posters on 3 occasions, twice in montreal, and once in toronto.. how about you?.
Yes. We went to So. Cal last October and had a nice time and met some really great people. I would love to have a No. Cal Apostafest.

Its my daughter's birthday today. She is 15 AND she was born in the 5 o'clock hour.

as i was headed home the other day, it occurred to me that it was my jw neighbor's birthday.
i remembered this as i realized that she would be at my home in about 20 minutes so that i could help her with something.
so, i quickly stopped at a store and got her a gift, and had it gift-wrapped.
Wow. That's a great experience. You should share that during the next field service meeting.
ROTFLMAO!
Bebu,
That so sweet of you to think of your neighbor! I had a JW friend whose co-worker would give her a "happy day gift" on her birthday each you. And you are right -- she secretly treasured those thoughts. You have a very big heart Bebu.
