I learned this from Martha Stewart. I stuck a wide ribbon on the wall (with small tacks) vertically - the ribbon is about 4 feet in length. Then as each card comes in, I staple it to the ribbon -- so I have a pretty collage on my wall of Christmas cards. I just filled up one ribbon and have to hang another one. Every day I get more and more cards in my mailbox -- I look forward to picking up my mail each evening.

My husband wouldn't dream of having a fake tree. Get a real one. Nothing beats the smell of a real pine tree in your home.

Flufftastic Queen + Paul Rodgers

just a little fluff, i'm waiting for my wife to go to bed to post my other topic o' the day.. i got home last night just in time to catch a special program on our local pbs station.

it was queen + paul rodgers.

for those not familiar with paul rodgers he was a member of free in the 60's and 70's, bad company in the 70's till 82 and then went on to the band the firm.

I sent out my cards to the overseas addresses this past Monday (except for the two addresses that came later). I received two in the mail from Austrailia (thanks!). Very cool -- I love this.

I love it all - except the sweet potato casserole I am making this year. I just can't like sweet potatoes -- no matter how hard I try.

I made a pumpkin pie from scratch (that includes baking my own pumpkin for its flesh and pie crust from scratch). However everyone is looking forward to the chocolate cake I am trying out this year. Most of the kids don't like the pumpkin pie -- this year it is all mine!

Important! My mother before Elders re marriage problems with Elder husband

if anyone can help me understand what goes on in the mind of elders?

is there a buddy mentality to protect each other and the flock and sacrifice those who make waves?

ive gathered coming here that may be true.. the reason im asking is because my mother has found herself in a very difficult situation and im really worried for her.

Guest -- I feel for your mother. I think V's post was interesting about taking it to the CO.

Similar situation. My mother has gone to the elders many times because my father has some issues. (My father is an elder). Every time, my father uses the excuse (wherever it is in the scriptures) that a man should take care of his own household and that everyone outside of that household needs to mind their own business! I swear, he uses that excuse everytime -- and IT WORKS every freakin time! The elders leave and my mother has to endure more torment. The elders cannot do a think with a husband/wife situation -- it is a matter of headship.

I hope for a good ending for your mother, but her chances at finding relief are very, very slim.

single JW's and sex

i am if it is the norm, but in my teenage years i must admit, i ahd no problem in going beyond kissing with quite a few jw girls, some even pioneers and talking to some fellow male jw teenagers at the time, many other where for sure going beyond kissing, makes you wonder how many jw's who get married are actually virgins, on a side note i also landed up in front of a committe one time for well bonking and hey i am sure they only do these so that they can here all the nitty gritty of illicit sex for soem reason or another, by the way i pulled the wool over their eyes and still remaind a bit of alad, lol.

I talk to people now who are DF'd or faded and it is unbelievable the amount of single JWs (people I grew up with) who had sex before marriage. I had no clue. I was a very naive individual -- as I believed everyone was staying in line with the rules.
