My cat used to want to smell/taste everything I was eating. She once ate some zucchini bread. Now, everything is distasteful to her except her own cat dry food.

I have kittens right now that I am "fostering" and these guys are crazy -- they want whatever you are having. I caught one on the counter yesterday eating cookie dough. WTF?

can a disfellowshipped person get rides to the meeting?

well apparently i couldnt.

in the first cong i was in, up north in ny, i got rides just fine for a while -- but shortly after i moved to my old cong south of there... .

i called up and let them know that i didnt have enough money to pay for gas to get to the meetings, and was wondering if we could work something out... .

Hell, my mother couldn't even save a seat for me in the KH when I was DF'd -- I am sure there was no way they would have given me a ride.

I have a wierd take on praying, what about you?...

everytime i talk to someone about praying they say that they pray all the time.

talk to god whenever they can.

well i'm just the opposite.

So what your take on praying? All the time or just when you need serious help?

Although I believe we were created, I no longer believe in a higher being, so I stopped praying a long time ago. When I used to pray as a dub, I really didn't think anyone was listening. I think it was just a way for me to put my thoughts in order by thinking through things in prayer. I also no longer have the desire to pray before I eat. Recently, I went to an old friend's house who is still sorta active, and the family prayed and it felt very foreign to me; like what is the point.

Is it better to stay married one time or have been married couple of times?

Why stay in a miserable relationship the first time if things aren't working? Both my husband and me are enjoying our second marriage. In both of our first marriages, divorce was a good thing. Life is to short to stay with the wrong person.

Where To Go For 10th Wedding Anniversary?

besty and i will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in september of this year.

we would like to do a week or weekend somewhere special and as we currently reside in la, we are considering hawaii, mexico or a city like san francisco.

we will probably be taking the podlets along with us so they are a consideration too.

Well if you want a city "like" San Francisco, what about Seattle? Its a bit grayer, but still a nice place to visit. Or as Hortensia recommended, Portland, OR. Another good place to visit. You could take a run out to the Oregon Coast as well -- very romantic.

Have you ever taken a cruise? You can get some good deals out of L.A. down to Mexico -- or if you want to spend a bit more, I recommend the Carribean. I did a cruise there earlier this year and I absolutely loved it!

Do You Smog?

If you have a new car you don't have to smog it for five years (unless you sell it - smogs are required on change of ownership). Older vehicles do not need to be smogged, but I don't know how old they have to be.

It is a pain to get a smog test every other year -- my husband said it was created for a "jobs program" (but he is pretty cynical). I guess it does help us keep our air cleaner.

Is California Burning?

Where I live, we are close to the fires burning in Mendocino County. Yesterday was the first time we have seen blue sky since last Saturday. Looking west to the setting sun, you can totally tell the air quality is getting better than it was.

My sincerest thanks to all those hard working firefighters trying to put out the fires.
