  i read the cat baptisim article and i doubled over laughing.

  one time when i was a kid i asked why my kitty couldn't go to the kh with us and my mom told me that animals were perfect and didn't need to go to the kh.. .

  We recently moved into a duplex. One Saturday morning I saw the neighbor getting into his car around 9:15 dressed in a suit and appeared to carry a bible. Not 100% he was a dub, but I changed my wi-fi name to "Satan."

  Ugh. Attended a funeral recently at the KH...

  i can't believe how horrid this experience was.

  first, the thought of going into a kh again filled me with total anxiety and even nausea.. .

  second, couldn't believe how much time it took to get ready to get there.

  I don't think I could step foot in a KH ever again - especially for a funeral.

  I went to a "real" funeral last week at a Lutheran church. After the religious portion of the service, families members got up to speak about the deceased. I didn't even know the woman (I was there because we knew her brother) and I cried my eyes out. It was that moving.

  I can honestly say I never cried my eyes out at a KH listening to what the deceased "believed." The dub memorials are just so cold and unfeeling. Sterile is a really good word Muddy Waters.

  i did a search and came up with some posts related to san francisco, but i couldn't figure out how to find more recent onesthey were from nearly a dozen years ago!

  i was wondering if anyone lives around sf, as well as if anyone is around my age?

  I'm now in the South Bay and BART doesn't come to San Jose. . . yet. However, I am used to driving all over the bay area. I have been to other apostafests and have met and made friends with a few former dubs. I'm open to new friendships.

  I manage to stay silent on a lot of propaganda my mother sends. However, if she sends me this email, I am afraid I cannot stay silent. This whole case has gotten under my skin and I read everything I can find to make sense of what happened (even though I know there are no answers).

  Disfellowshipped Facebook friends?

  i just recently friended someone i knew many years ago.

  they have been disfellowshipped for a number of years.

  i am currently not da'd or df'd so if the elders wanted could they disfellowship me for having a fb df'd friend?.

  I am not DF'd, but have DF'd FB friends and JW FB friends (I would say they are weak JWs). If I ever post something I don't want them to see, I restrict them from seeing that post. I also hide my friend list (as others have mentioned). Yes, I have friends who tell me I am crazy and to get over it. Maybe one day I will, but I kinda like to maintain my friendships so I go through a tiny bit of trouble.

  I would think if an elder really wanted to get you, yeah, he could make an issue that you are friends with a DF'd person.
