if it is the case that the reason people die is due to the original sin of the man adam (romans 5:12) then why do animals also get sick and die of the same illnesses as humans?
did an animal transgress in a similar manner?.
That is one thing that always bothered me about religion. The Animals didn't deserve to die because of Mankind's faults and sins. Whenever Noah's flood was discussed, I always wondered why Jehovah killed the Animals too. The same thing with Animal Sacrifices to Jehovah. Innocent Animals were killed for a God who would take delight in the burning Animal's "Pleasing Odor".
Animals should never pay for something that Humans did.

i also plan to strike up a conversation about the epic fail of a memorial invite that a local congregation put in my door.
Serenity, I will be thinking of you while you are at the Memorial tomorrow! I'm not going to the Memorial itself, but I will be at an Ice Cream Parlor that a bunch of the Witnesses will be afterwards. I plan on doing a little incidental non-witnessing. I'm not going to have flyers, but will write a few websites on pieces of paper that will be easy for anyone interested to tuck in their pockets or purses so that others will not notice.
I plan on casually mentioning the Child Abuse issue, and other things depending on the interest. I will not be telling them that I used to be a Witness, but I will act as someone who used to be interested, but is now concerned about the things that I have been hearing about JW's and the Child Abuse issue. If I tell them I used to be a witness, I am afraid it will chase them away, but if I pretend that I am interested, they may be more open to discussion.
I figure that if I keep things casual and non-confronational, I have a better chance of getting someone to think.

Mouthy, You are a BEAUTIFUL Soul! I am happy that you had success in your protests. Different strokes for different folks! What doesn't work for some people, works for others, and had you not protested, some of those people would probably still be stuck in the Org.

I know what you mean about younger people being able to handle things easier. I feel really sorry for those who had their homes destroyed. I know that it is especially hard for older ones who often have a hard time adjusting to change, let alone a total upheaval of their lives. My thoughts go out to those who don't have a home to go back to tonight.

Hemp, all is Okay so far in Oak Cliff, just some hail and torrential downpours! It's been a wild day! I had my Psych appt. with my Doctor a couple of hours ago near downtown, and we all were holed up in the middle of the building until the danger had passed. Imagine a bunch of us crazies all together hearing tornado sirens all cooped up in a small area!
It's all over the TV now, and there is a LOT of damage, and twisters are still coming down East of Dallas. Lots of houses gone in Arlington, and they just declared it a major disaster area.
Hunt County is getting hit right now, and a large Tornado is on the ground there according to the news.
I am glad that the Rabbits are Okay! Hopefully we will get reports from others, Big Tex, Cruzan, Elsewhere, and the tons of others who are in the area.
