  here is why, even though i no longer agree with most of what the gb/wt/jw's teach, i still feel especially close to all of us who were apart of this group.

  I feel the exact same way! We all have been through something that is unique, and many times our experiences are almost identical. I have always considered other Ex-JW's as my family, even if we do not always agree on things. I try to love others unconditionally, even those who have hurt me on this board, whether it was intentional or not.

  next sunday is the discussion of the 7/15/2011 wt article about shunning.

  i am planning to stand outside of a kh on a major street with a big banner that says that the jws do indeed destroy families with their shunning policy.

  i will have many copies of the article that will be discussed that day.. anyone else have any plans?.

  I think that handing out pamphlets that list websites such as JWN and Silent Lambs etc. would be the way to go. That way, if a Dub does want to look up the info in private, it would be easy for them to pocket the pamphlet without others knowing. I bet that you would get more success that way. I wish you luck whatever way you decide to do it. Only thing is to make sure what you are doing is legal in your city so you don't get arrested. And don't let the naysayers get you down!!!

  Favorite games and toys as a kid

  one of my favorite toys when i was a kid was my spirograph.

  i don't know whatever happened to it but i wanted to get another one and didn't realize they didn't make them anymore.

  i went on ebay and got a super spirograph (complete except for the pens) for a real good price ($30) - i hit it at just the right time since most are listed for $50 to $100.
