I am new to the board

hello everyone, i am new to this discussion board.

my name is pinned blouse because once i was wrongly df'd and i no longer attended the meetings, i noticed all my blouses had pin holes in them where i fastened safety pins in them to make sure i was always "modest" lol.

mind you i do not have large boobies but i did not want to "tempt" the brothers.. .

Welcome. I am new here as well. So sorry about your brother. What happened to him? I am not nor have I ever been a JW and after reading some of these posts I really feel for all of you having to endure that religion. I do however have a loved one in there and would like to know how or what it takes or took for some of you to get out? What was the defining thing? Would really appreciate any and all help with this. You all sound like really fun and loveable people. Keep the strength and I am glad I found all of you!

if so, why would jw's continue to use them as part of a marriage ceremony in jehovah's eyes?.

I have never been a JW but a loved one is. I feel really sorry for all of you that were raised in this way. I really think that when a religion takes control it is a shame. Why did/do people allow this organization to take over? What is the benefit of it all? I am just looking for answers because my loved one really gets on my nerves with al of the crap..Like not voting or getting out of jury duty etc. Really galls me also that people can enjoy the freedom we have in this country but don't honor those that have died for a cause. The names of the days of the week are pagan in origin as well but I dont see anyway changing them to avoid saying them.
