Wasn't Stevie Wonder going to have a experimental surgery similar to this? I read it in the Times, I think.

...that jw's have a hard time forgiving others because they themselves are rarely forgiven for their own sins.
according to their beliefs jehovah keeps track of every detail of your life...good and bad.
that even if you are humble and repent of your sins, that there is still no true forgiveness until the new system.
BTW, at least you apologized, YOYO. Please just don't make hurtful comments in the first place and you might be appreciated here.

well this is the day.. i mentioned to my mum that i read a good book recently about dates, and cronology.. she blew up and told me i was just trying to read anything that attempts to disprove jws.. apparently i am like those apostates, and people didnt want to talk to my because of it.. "this is the truth", she said.. well i am now an apostate.
it doesnt feel as bad as i thought it would.. josephus
UNBIASED??? BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Oh...that's a good one!
andi, took the words right out of my mouth....
YOYOYOYOYOYOYO,
calm down, and listen. 1975, 1914, generation, 607, Nazis, 1934, 1975 yearbooks, and the 1998 watchtower "discrepancies". Blood rule changes, the two witnesses rule,
the list goes on.
Do not be misled by false prophets, YOYO.

we are not jehovah's witnesses because of a variety of circumstances, but one thing we all share is that we question.. what factors come together to make us questioners?.
intelligence?
but i know a lot of very smart non-questioning jehovah's witnesses.. bravery?
Name's second post was excellent. I agree. I questioned things because of the way people I love were treated. People who were kind, but were trampled upon because they didn't belong to the singular consciousness, that the JW's are. Individualistic people are rarely accepted, but that is universal.
Joel-Hyspocrisy in bearuocracy-very true
YOYO, I think you are as confused as we are, but for the moment I will assume you are not. I left-It was a question of people.
My father called me last nite and called me Korah...he said it nicely, but I go the point...he said, all these years you guys have been going against me, "I'm just doing what's right...and"
I stopped him there and told him that's what the problem was, and that is what the problem is among the JW's...conscience has become the bat to beat someone with..you're allowed to have it, but it had better be stricter than the other person's or there would be hell to pay. If your conscience went outside of the congregational conscience, there would be problems.
The JW's all say, "I am doing what's right!"
and that's the reason I left. Every conscience is right, and not to stumble everyone, you pander to everyone's conscience, no matter how bizzarre it is.....and lose your individuality.

Oh, YOYO,
Kiss our collective asses you simplistic fuck!!! Stay off of the threads that are sad, or wanting for a kind word; stick to the Fred Hall posts, you degenerate.

I will andi...although I'm younger so people may question the legitity of it all......I'm sorry, kid. I've heard the same coming from my wife's side. The top of your posts speaks to me the most. That's why I am an ass when it comes to the foriveness of JW's....I was given no leeway myself.
I'm sorry Andi. The offer still stands!!!

how to make an atheist backslide .
there is no god .
Abad...just wanted to say, that's a helluva first paragraph. Very true. I guess I'm agnostic now, but the belief in God, I think, is much more a personal feeling, like love, that people experience.
I think the reason they cling to the bible as truth is that they need some physical document to prove to themselves that there is a God, that their love-like feeling has some basis in fact, or history.
And for some reason, they need it.
Good thread, by the way.

something has puzzeled me for a long time since i came to this board.
first i would like to say i'm not judging any in what i'm about to say as we all are at different places in our lives and i respect that.. here it is: at what point in your life did you no longer believe in god or believe the bible?.
how many came to this conclution after coming to this db?.
LOL-COMF, you're a tough guy, man, you get right to the point...lolol.
Well, I believe in something bigger than us, but God? I just don't know.
