Stephanus..he was not a madman..he was.. errrr...eccentric.
He was know also for having rageing parties at his house.Movie stars would go there and wife swap and just have one big happy orgy.
I think Farkel has the right idea.

we drove 6815 km from our home in alberta down the western coast of the us to disneyland, then back home through utah (mormon country), idaho and montana.

Thank you for that info.I happen to live about two hours from Hearst Castle and believe me, they will get an earful from me!!
it's so cool to be able to drive around again.
after spending ludicrous amounts of money on it, i finally got my little 1979 ford escort running again.
of course, it can't go faster than 60 kilometers/hour without wobbling and losing paint, but then, the car is older than i am!!!.
Hillarious...SYN!!
I too just got my Jeep running after sinking close to $1,000.00 bucks in it.Amazing how we take these things for granted!!
.
if you have a chance, wish me luck or whisper a prayer for me.
i'm going to "address an issue" with my family (drop bombs) this weekend after 7 years of silent tolerance.

i had an interesting conversation at work yesterday while on break.
two work mates of mine started to talk about the jw missionaries who were taken captive in the philipines.
one guy didn't understand why they would take a jw hostage.
A couple of months ago I over heard two of my co-workers talking about the molest going on in the JW organisation.First it started with one of them making Catholic jokes, how they like little boys. Then the other said the JW were into little girls.I was suprised they knew about it.I just smiled and kept doing my work.More people know about it than not.
What gets me is these JW really believe they were doing God's work.Wonder what they are saying at KH around the world. They are probably saying "How wonderful they are to die in Jehovahs name,is your faith that strong?" Makes me sick.I feel sorry for them...they were majorly duped!
were you raised as a jw, like me, or were you converted (at least i have an excuse)?
I became one at about age 4. I remember one Easter and one Christmas. My mother had 4 hungry children and a husband that was always out at the bars.MY Mother felt overwhelmed with being alone with us day and night. She welcomed the chance to finally get to speak with adults. She pretty much felt hopeless with her life (we were dirt poor)so the thought of paradise gave her hope.
BTW..My mom has a genuis IQ..so just because people join this cult ,does'nt mean they are idiots.
.....i lost my cell phone.the good news is i might get one of these.it can actually take pictures!!.
